Lopez shocks Oliver with
third round knockout

Reynaldo Lopez scored a shocking
one punch knockout to upset previoulsy undefeated
Mike Oliver in round three of a scheduled ten
round Super Bantamweight bout at The Roxy Nightclub
in Boston.
Oliver showed his quickness
over the first two rounds until Lopez landed
a flush straight left hand that sent Oliver
down on his fron side. Oliver rose to his feet
atthe count of nine but referee Dick Flarhety
waved the fight off at 1:22
Lopez, 121 lbs of Santo Fo,
Springs, California via Colombia is now 29-5-1
with twenty knockouts. Oliver, 121 1/2 lbs of
Hartford, CT. is now 21-1.
Antwone Smith scored a third
round stoppage over former Contender Season-Two
star Aaron Torres in a scheduled eight round
welterweight bout.
Smith scored a knockdown
in round two from a hard left hook. Torres held
on as his nose started to bleed. Torres survived
that round but was sent down late in round three
from a little right hand that caused a delayed
reaction. Torres stayed on his knee until just
after the referee counted ten at 2:35 of round
three.
With the win, Smith, 146
lbs of Miami, Florida is 10-1-1 with six knockouts.
Torres, 148 lbs of Philadelphia is now 16-7
Sean Eklund scored a four
round unanimous decision over Jose Velazquez
in a welterweight rematch.
Scores were 40-36, 40-36
and 39-37 for Eklund of Lowell, Mass. and is
now 6-2. Rodriguez is 0-3.
Eddie Caminaro comtinued
his knockout streak with a third round knockout
over debuting Ardrick Butler in a scheduled
four round middleweight bout.
Caminaro scored three knockdowns
in the third from body shots and the bout was
stopped at 1:57 of the third.
Caminaro, 161 lbs of Lawrence,
Mass. is 4-0 with all wins coming early. Butler,
158 lbs of Philadelphia is 0-1.
Frank Trader won his pro
debut with a unanimous decision over Luis Rosario
in a four round Featherweight bout. Scores were
40-36 on all card for Trader of Philadelphia.
Rosario is now 4-13.
