Lujan out works Jose Luis
Castillo
By Marc Abrams
Sebastian Lujan was relentless
with activity and may have ended the career
of former two-time lightweight champion Jose
Luis Castillo by scoring a ten round unanimous
decision in a welterweight bout at the Sycuan
Casino in El Cajon, California.
Lujan threw punches in bunches
to put it mildly as the punch stats read Lujan
landing 387 od 1208 punches while Castillo could
must just 154 of 530.
Neither fighter was hurt
by Lujan landed big right hands in round eight
plus a big flurry in round ten as Castillo bled
from the nose and mouth.
Lujan, 146 1/2 of Argentina
won by scores of 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92 to raise
his record to 30-5-2. Castillo, 146 1/2 lbs
of Mexico intimated that if he lost this fight
he would retire and if he holds true to his
word he will end with a ledger that reads 56-9-1.
Luis Carlos Abregu dominated
Thomas Davis and scored a second round knockout
in a scheduled eight round welterweight bout.
Abregu landed many right
hands on Davis, who took the fight on three
days notice and did not look like he was mentally
into the fight. Abregu landed a huge right to
drop Davis with just seconds left in the first
round. In round two, Abregu landed a big left
that sent Davis to the canvas just seconds into
the round. Davis looked like he did not want
to fight but took a few more shots before his
corner ended the bout at fifty-eight seconds
into round two.
Abregu, 147 lbs of Salta,
Argentina is now 23-0 with twenty knockouts.
Davis, 146 1/2 lbs of Knoxville, Tennessee is

Luis Ramos battered and beat
up Omar Dominguez up over five rounds to score
a stoppage after round five of a scheduled six
round Lightweight bout.
Ramos scored well and won
the first four round until he unleashed a flurry
of punches that was culminated with a straight
left hand Midway through the fifth stanza. Ramos
was all over Dominguez and Dominguez took a
knee in the corner but survived the round. Dominguez
corner pulled the plug on the fight and stopped
it in between rounds.

round stoppage over Ramon Flores in a scheduled
