Omar Chavez remained undefeated with a one punch stoppage over Alberto Martinez in a scheduled ten round Welterweight bout Mexicali, Mexico.

Martinez face was reddened from the outset. The two exchanged wildly for most of the first round. Chavez uncorked a perfect left hook over the jab of Martinez and dropped him to the canvas. Martinez beat the count but the fight was stopped at 2:51 of round one.

Chavez, 147 lbs of Culican, MX is now 27-0-1 with twenty knockouts. Martinez, 146 1/2 lbs of Case Grandex, MX is now 11-2.

Jorge Paez Jr. scored a third round stoppage over Rodrigo Juarez in a scheduled eight round Welterweight bout.

Paez dropped Juarez in round one from a uppercut. In round three he landed a left hook that rocked Juarez back to the corner where Paez landed three crunching blows that sent Juarez down and the fight was stopped at 1:02 of round three.

Paez Jr. 146 3/4 lbs of Mexicali, MX is now 29-4-1-1 with eighteen knockouts. Juarez, 147 lbs of Tijuana, MX is now 16-14-1.

In an exciting eight round Bantamweight bout, Ruben Tamayo scored a split decision over previously undefeated Jose Cayetano.

Scores were 77-75 on two cards for Tamayo while Cayetano won a card at 78-75.

Tamayo, 122 1/2 lbs of Ciudad, MX is now 18-2-2. Cayetano, 123 lbs of Tijuana, MX us now 9-1.
