It’s Time: Debut of Anthony Hardy TOMORROW at Sunderland FC!

You read that correctly. After all the waiting, all the strain, and all the hardships of top English amateur Anthony Hardy it is time for him to put his skills to the test in his four round professional debut against veteran Matt Seawright (5-76-5 0 KO’s)

It’s been a long road; a difficult one as well. Hardy won 29 of his 53 amateur fights. His awkward southpaw style lead to many close fights and rough decisions. Hardy is hoping that his style will be suited better for the pro-game.

Being a 5’11 ½ southpaw with a long reach and size advantage over most of his fellow 140-147lbers, Hardy is looking to keep to his game plan. He’ll need to keep behind his right-jab, move, and absolutely work his opponents for four, six, eight and eventually ten or twelve rounds.

As the clock ticks through the evening hours it is less than 2 days until he will get to prove his skills; back up all the hype. All the work done with head trainer Peter Cope, All the sparring with Bradley Saunders and Gary Foxx, All the marketing by his promoters, and PR team, there is only one thing left to do: fight!

Hardy’s fight will open up a major ten-fight bill at “The Stadium of Light”, Sunderland FC in England. Hardy noted he is “at his fittest and his strongest” and will do his fans well on Sunday evening.
