Record
22-2-2 (9 KOs)

Strength
Chilemba’s strength is his boxing ability.
Cummings has good punching power in both hands and is a very good inside fighter.
Weakness
Isaac does not have much power.
Cory has been inactive. He only competed once in the past three years. He tends to get sloppy as the fight goes into the later rounds.
Experience
Chilemba has been in the ring with top competitors. He has been down and has come back to win.
Cummings is a veteran with over 11 years’ experience. Four of his six career defeats came against former world champions and title challengers.
Power
If Chilemba puts his punches together, the power can come.
Cory brings good power in both hands. In his last bout, he knocked down his opponent (Azea Augustama) in the first round.
Speed
Speed advantage goes to Chilemba. His boxing skills allow him to be very quick on his feet.
Cummings has average speed.
Endurance
The edge goes to Chilemba because he has fought 12 rounds eight times.
Cummings has gone 12 rounds once and 10 rounds on five different occasions.
Accuracy
Chilemba puts punches together with lots of combinations and will mix it up.
Cory is more of a puncher than a boxer. If he can keep the fight at a close distance, then he will have the advantage here.
Defense
Chilemba has better defense than Cummings.
Cummings is more of an offensive-minded fighter.
Chin
Chilemba was down against Maxim Vlasov and came back to win the fight.
Cummings has a solid chin. He has never been stopped.
Style
Chilemba is a boxer.
Cummings is more of a brawler.
The Match-Up
Will Chilemba be able to take Cummings’ power?
Will Cummings be able to deal with Chilemba’s boxing skills?
Will Chilemba be looking past Cummings?
Will Cummings capitalize on Chilemba looking past him and use his power to his advantage?
This is the boxer versus the puncher. The fight will come down to whether the puncher takes away the boxer’s style or the boxer takes away the puncher’s style. Also, appearing on a Kovalev undercard means they will both have an opportunity to showcase their talents under a spotlight. Look for both of them to try to make a statement and showcase what they can do.

Main Events’ CEO Kathy Duva said, “We signed Isaac Chilemba with a plan in mind for him in the light heavyweight division. Seeing how he does against a brawler like Cory Cummings is the next step. I’m sure Cummings will try to upset our plans, so the fans in attendance at Revel on Saturday are in for another great light heavyweight fight.”
