Vyacheslav Glazkov barely held on to is number-two world ranking as he scored a close majority decision over Derric Rossy at the Sands in Bethlehem, PA.
Rossy boxed very well over the first half of the fight to build up was a seemingly comfortable lead. He stayed very competitive throughout the fight but Glazkov came on late and eked the fight out by to the tune of 98-92?, 96-94 and 95-95.
Glazkov, 218 1/2 lbs of Luganskk, Ukraine is now 18-0-1. Rossy, 232 1/2 lbs of Medford, NY suffers a hard luck loss and is now 29-9.
Vasily Lepitkhin remained undefeated by scoring a 5th round stoppage over Robert Berridge in a scheduled 10-round Light Heavyweight bout.
Lepitkhin dropped Berridge with a hard right cross to jaw to close round two. Lepitkhin continued to dominate and Berridge began to bleed from his nose in round four. In round five, Lepitkhin dropped Berridge from a big right hand. He sent Berridge to the canvas again from a left hand. Berridge was in bad trouble and ate a body shot and a booming right and referee Gary Rosato stopped the bout at 1:04 of round five.
Lepitkhin, 174 lbs of Russia is now 16-0 with 10 knockouts. Berridge, 173 1/2 lbs of Albany, NZ is now 24-2-1.
Joseph Parker remained undefeated by scoring a 3rd round stoppage over Keith Thompson in a scheduled 8-round Heavyweight bout.
Parker hurt Thompson in the 1st and Thompson began to leak blood from his nose. In round three, Parker landed a vicious right uppercut that dropped Thompson. With Thompson hurt, Parker landed a hard combination that was punctuated by a right to the head that sent Thompson down for a 2nd time and the bout was stopped at 2:41 of round three.
Parker, 228 1/2 lbs of Auckland, NZ is now 10-0 with 9 knockouts. Thompson, 220 lbs of Tuscaloosa, AL is now 7-3.
