NEW YORK, (August 14, 2014) – Former amateur boxing sensation, Wellington Romero (4-0, 2 KOs), who’s undefeated as a professional, is a promotional free agent. Fighting out of Newburgh, New York, by way of Dominican Republic, Romero competes at the Light Welterweight division (140 lbs).
In addition to winning several tournaments before turning professional, Romero competed in the 2012 Olympics, going further then Jose RamĆrez, FĆ©lix Verdejo and Rau’shee Warren to name a few.
Standing 5’9 and fighting out of the southpaw stance, Romero possesses the skills to compete at the highest level. After sparring top level opposition, Wellington has earned the respect of his peers and looks to make his mark in the boxing world.
