MAYHEM IN THE ROCK II ABA TITLE ELIMINATOR TO STREAM LIVE AND FREE THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 14TH

LITTLE ROCK – March 12, 2015 – In its second ever boxing event, M&N Promotions of Little Rock, Arkansas, raises the bar and takes another step further in fulfilling its commitment to showcasing the best talent that Arkansas has to offer on a worldwide platform. This Saturday, M&N partners with JAMM 7 Multimedia, Desert Adrenaline Multimedia and the American Boxing Association to offer a high-definition, internet live stream of the professional boxing event, featuring commentary by veteran play-by-play announcer Jim Grieshaber and analysis from Hall of Fame Referee Richard Steele.

In the main event, Kiun “The Boss” Evans (9-0-1, 5KO) faces fellow undefeated fighter Eric “No Excuses” Anton (4-0, 1KO) in an 8-round ABA Featherweight Title eliminator bout. Anton is no stranger to tough opposition. His previous opponents’ combined records are 18-0-1, and he spoiled three undefeated records with decision wins in 2014. His opponent, former Arkansas Golden Gloves Champion Evans, brings experience to the table, along with a sense of commitment born of his relationship with his 94 year old grandmother. “She’s the reason I’m fighting,” says Evans. “Boxing saved my life. I don’t know what I’d be doing if not for boxing.”

Promoter Lendrick Nelson is looking forward to giving fighters in Arkansas opportunities they may not have otherwise had. “We want to give Arkansas fighters a stage and an avenue to make it to the next level. M&N Promotions is a breath of fresh air for boxers in the state.” Nelson has been involved with boxing since childhood. His father, Ozell Nelson, was the coach of World Champion fighter Jermain Taylor, and is currently coaching main event fighter Evans.

For his part, Referee Richard Steele is excited to be a part of the telecast. “The event is something that I’m hoping will be the first of many more to come. I’m very excited about being here in Little rock because there is some unseen heroes that we have in this part of the country that need to be looked at more closely, and need to be promoted more so they can rise to the top and be someone like Floyd Mayweather,” said Steele of the event.

“I want these promotions to keep going and stay alive so that we can really promote boxing. I think boxing needs this shot in the arm that we’re about to do and I think it’s going to be better for everyone,” said Steele of broadcasting the event live and free at ababoxing.us.

Also on the card, Jorge “Travieso” Gonzales faces Yon “Hitman” Harvison, Rogelio “El Loco” Casarez faces Ronald “Salvaje” Rivas, Randy Johnson faces Marcus Rhode, Erasmo “The Reckoning” Garcia faces Joe Bradshaw, and Anthony Woods meets Deartie Tucker.
