Two Championships on the Line at Super Fight League 41 this Saturday Night
Tacoma, Washington (July 9, 2015) It’s fight week in the Pacific Northwest, and Brian Halquist Productions and Cagesport MMA are proud to present Super Fight League 41, live from the Emerald Queen Casino this Saturday, July 11th at 7:00PM. Fans inside the I-5 showroom are in for a treat, as two title bouts will headline this incredible night of fights.
In the main event of the evening, Tacoma’s own 3rd ranked Harrison Bevens (7-3) looks to capture the vacant SFL America Lightweight Championship against number one contender Justin “Ruckus” Harrington (6-2) of Enumclaw. This 5-round contest will be a rematch of their 2013 bout, which saw Harrington win by 2nd round rear-naked choke.
Saturday night’s co-main event will see another Enumclaw number one contender; Tyson Cunningham (3-0-1) put his undefeated record on the line against 3rd ranked Mike “Zombie” Dubois (4-1) for the vacant SFL America Welterweight Championship. Fans last saw Cunningham in December of 2014, fighting to a draw against former SFL America Welterweight Champion Ben “Flattop” Fodor in one of the more thrilling and controversial fights in recent memory.
Headlining the undercard is a highly anticipated lightweight title eliminator between 2nd ranked Jason Novelli (7-1) and 4th ranked Bobby McIntyre (3-0). The fighter to come out victorious in this one will face the winner between Harrington and Bevens in the evening’s main event.
The fights will be broadcast internationally on youtube.com and will be made available for viewing within 24 hours of the conclusion of SFL 41. A name to watch out for on the under is Gurdarshan Gary Mangat who is quickly rising up the Northwest bantamweight ranks and has his eyes set on fighting for the SFL title. Rounding out this stellar night of fights are six undercard bouts, each scheduled for three rounds, showcasing the best that Northwest MMA has to offer.
Gurdarshan Gary Mangat (7-1) vs. Damen Wood (5-3)
Corey Watson (2-0) vs. Adam Walkemeyer (2-2)
Jeremie Montgomery (debut) vs. Vince Morales (1-0)
