Washington, D.C. (November 14, 2016) – Last Thursday night in front of a packed house at the 26th Annual Fight for Children FIGHT NIGHT, Rancho Cucamonga, California’s DANIEL “Twitch” FRANCO, (15-0-3, 10 KO’s) won the vacant IBF-USBA Featherweight Title with a stunning fourth round knockout of DERRICK MURRAY, (13-1-1, 5 KO’s) of St. Louis, Missouri.
Taking control of the action from the opening bell, the 24-year-old brought his full arsenal of weaponry to his East Coast debut, sweeping all three initial rounds. Continuing with heavy handed shots to the body in the fourth, Franco dropped Murray with a successive barrage of shots in the blue corner as referee Kenny Chevalier counted to ten at the 2:41 mark.

“It was an incredible experience to win the title at FIGHT NIGHT and I look forward to my first defense and moving up in the IBF rankings.” With the victory, Franco will move into the IBF’s Top 15 rankings in the Featherweight Division.
“I feel great, tomorrow is sightseeing here in Washington, D.C. and I’ll be back in the gym on Monday shaking out, I can’t wait to see what the future brings. 2017 is going to be a very big year.”
