Minneapolis, MN (February 24, 2023) – Welterweight Derrick “Diesel” Jackson will face Willie Jones Saturday, February 25 at The Armory in Minneapolis, MN.

Fighting out of Orlando, FL, Jackson’s 10-0 with 5 knockouts. In his most recent bout, Jackson scored an impressive unanimous decision over iron chinned veteran Damien Bonelli. Prior to his blossoming pro career, Jackson was a top-rated amateur. In 2018, he won the Eastern Regionals while also fighting in the championship matches at the Junior Olympics and US National Championship.

A native of Burlington, NC, Jones is 8-2 and has five victories by KO. Jones holds victories over unbeaten fighters in Jamal Harris (3-0) and Celso Ramirez (7-0). In Jones’ two previous fights at The Armory, he scored stoppage victories over the aforementioned Ramirez as well as Gonzalo Dallera (5-1).

The eight round Jackson-Jones contest takes place on the undercard of the Subriel Matias-Jeremias Ponce IBF junior welterweight title fight and is promoted by TGB Promotions.
