Rome, Italy (March 31, 2023) – Major WBC super featherweight world rating implications are on the line as #11 WBC world rated and former IBO World Champion, MICHAEL “LONE WOLF” MAGNESI (Lazio, Italy 21-1 13KO’s) vies for the vacant WBC Silver Super Featherweight Championship against unbeaten foe and #22 WBC world rated, AYRTON GIMENEZ (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 17-0 3KO’s) in a 10 round championship bout tonight in Rome, Italy.

Magnesi, who is co-promoted by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and DiBella Entertainment, returns to the ring tonight, reinvigorated under the new training guidance of Gesumino Aglioti. A victory over the unbeaten Argentinian, Ayrton Gimenez, will establish Magnesi well inside the top 10 of the WBC World ratings in shouting distance of challenging for the WBC World Super Featherweight Championship.

Gimenez makes the trip to Italy with goals of his own. A former WBA Fedebol Super Featherweight Champion, with an impressive record, Gimenez believes in his abilities to defeat Magnesi, and step over him in the WBC ratings.

The talk is over, weight has been made, and the only thing left to do is fight. Magnesi-Gimenez is promoted by A&B Events, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and DiBella Entertainment.
