MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – (September 1, 2023) – Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr stared silently and unblinkingly into each other’s eyes without wavering following both of them making weight at today’s official weigh-ins for tomorrow’s ‘BOXXER: Smith vs Eubank 2 – Repeat or Revenge?’ showdown.
Airing live and exclusively in the UK as a Sky Sports Box Office pay-per-view event (and airing in the US on ESPN+) the fight sees the two antagonists return to the ring in Manchester’s AO Arena, eight months on from the January firefight which saw Smith secure a fourth-round stoppage victory.
Eubank Jr has called this rematch a “do or die” fight for him and Smith has promised to end his rival’s career tomorrow night when they meet in the ring. Repeat or revenge? The question will be answered on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Sparks also flew today between Florian Marku and his Irish rival Dylan Moran, the week’s war of words turning into a shoving match as they squared off on stage.
Fireworks are also expected between heavyweights Frazer Clarke and Dave Allen, whose strained bonhomie barely concealed clear tensions, and Adam Azim and Aram Fanyan, who travels from Ukraine looking to derail the Azim hype train and score a morale-boosting win for his Ukrainian fanbase.
