The wait is finally over as a mega fight heads for Australia. In Late October 2013 “The Legendary Fight of the Ages” takes place in Sydney, Australia. Two of the world’s most legendary fighters from two different continents face off in what should be one of the most blockbuster fights of our time. From the United States is “Sugar” Shane Mosley who is one greatest boxers of all time taking on the Australia Legend, Anthony Mundine. This match up shapes up to be one of the best fights in the history of boxing. Fans across the world will be treated to a battle which is truly a test of what champions are all about.

It goes without saying that Shane Mosely in his career has fought all the greatest boxers in his weight class in the last two decades. Compiling a record of 47-8-1 with 39 KO’s. In 2000 Mosely was the elected by the World Boxing Hall of Fame Fighter of the Year. He has held World Titles from Lightweight, Welterweight and Light-Middleweight. He won his first title in 1997 as a Lightweight and just last year fought for World Title at Jr. Middleweight. In his career he has fought the likes of Saul Alverez, Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Miguel Cotto, Fernando Vargas and of course, Oscar De La Hoya.

Hailing from Down Under is Anthony “The Man” Mundine who is undoubtabtly one of the greatest Australia’s boxers of all time. Mundine, a former professional rugby league star turned pro-boxer in 2000. Since becoming a boxer Mundine has torn up the world of boxing with a professional record of 44-5-0 with 26 knockouts. Mundine also has fought many legendary fighters in his career such as Danny Green, Mikkel Kessler, Sam Solomon and Bronco McKart. Mundine has won world titles in three different weight divisions from super-welterweight, middleweight and super-middleweight. Anthony’s last fight was against Daniel Geale for the World Middleweight Title.

These two warriors shape up very well against each other and who knows who the victor will be. Both fighters have very similar records and very similar careers both fighting and holding world titles in different weight divisions. Shane Mosely holds an advantage as possibly a better boxer with a little better resume. Mundine is a bigger, stronger fighter who can pose some interesting problems for Mosely. Both fighters are right handed but Mundine holds a 3 inch height advantage. Mundine has always fought heavier than Mosely and this could play a part in the outcome of the fight. On the other hand, Mosely is a great boxer and has fought more world champion caliber fighters than Mundine. Mundine and Mosely are both in the later stages of their career, Mundine at 38 and Mosely at 41. The winner of this blockbuster event will likely fight the winner of Mayweather vs Alverez bout. This bout shapes up to possibly surpass the Mayweather vs Alverez bout in action.

Tickets for this event will be available for purchase shortly and this fight is definitely going to sell out! The event will also be on Pay Per View and will be announced shortly.

There will be a press conference on August 29, 2013 in Los Angeles by Millennium Events and Golden Boy Promotions. Time and Place to be announced.
