Former world title challenger Orlando Cruz stopped Gabino Cota in round seven of their scheduled 10-round super featherweight bout.
Cruz dropped Cota with a straight left in round two.
In round seven, Cruz landed a hard left hand that was followed by a vicious combination that sent Cota to the canvas.
Cruz 130 lbs of Quintana, PR is now 25-4-1 with 13 knockouts. Cota of Mexico is 19-7-1.
Sammy Valentin, Jr. stopped Joaquin De La Rosa in round four of their scheduled 6-round welterweight bout.
In round four, Valentin landed a left to the body that was followed up by 2 head shots that sent De La Rosa on his back and the fight was stopped.
valentin, 145 lbs is now 9-0. De La Rosa, 144 lbs is 6-1-1.
