Former two-division world champion Jose Pedraza won a 10-round unanimous decision over former world title challnger Mikkel Lespierre in a junior welterweight bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas,

In round one, LesPierre began to bleed from his nose. Pedraza was dominant early. In round five, LesPierre was credited with a knockdown when a left hit an off-balanced Pedraza. Seconds later, Pedraza landed a big right that was followed by a left that sent LesPierre to the deck. After the round, referee Kenny Bayless went to the replay, and ruled that the knockdown by LesPierre was ruled a slip as the feet got tangled.

In round nine, LesPierre was bleeding over the right eye. In round 10, Pedraza knocked LesPierre with a jab.

Pedraza outlanded LesPierre 168-69.

Pedraza, 143.9 lbs of Cidra, PR won by scores of 100-88 and 99-89 twice and is now 27-3. LesPierre, 143.5 lbs of Brooklyn is 22-2-1.

“Mikkel was a tough opponent, but I stuck to my game plan. I wanted the knockout, but he stayed strong in there. I give him a lot of credit,” Pedraza said. “I would like to fight any of the world champions, but we have to see what happens next. I proved I belong with the top guys in the 140-pound division.”

Albert Bell remained perfect by winning a 10-round unanimous decision over Mark Bernaldez in a junior lightweight fight.

Bell outlanded Bernaldez 125-46.

Bell, 133 lbs of Toledo, OH won by scores of 100-90 on all cards, and is now 17-0. Bernaldez, 132 lbs of General Santos City, PHL is 20-4.

Elvis Rodriguez remained undefeated with a 1st round stoppage over Danny Murray in a scheduled six-round junior welterweight bout.

Rodriguez landed a jab right on the eye that sent Murray through the ropes, and the fight was stopped at 2:13.

Rodriguez, 140.2 lbs of Santo Domingo, DR is 7-0-1 with all wins coming by knockout. Murray, 139.2 lbs of Lanoka Harbor, NJ is 5-4.

Two-time Olympic Gold Medal winner Robeisy Ramirez avenged his disappointing pro debut by winning a six-round unanimous decision in a featherweight bout.

Ramirez was quicker and landed more blows. Gonzalez had swelling over his right eye in round five.

Ramirez outlanded Gonzales 62-55.

Ramirez, 125.1 lbs of Cienfuehos, CUB won by scores of 60-54 on all cards, and is now 4-1. Gonzales, 125.4 lbs of Denver is 5-3-2.

In round three, Ibeh began to bleed from the nose

Kingsley Ibeh won his 2nd fight in seven days as he won a six-round majority decision over previously undefeated Patrick Mailata in a heavyweight fight.

Ibeh outlanded Francis 86-75

Ibeh, 284.1 lbs of Phoenix, AZ won by scores of 58-56 twice and 57-57 and is now 5-1. Mailata, 284 lbs of South Auckland, NZ is 4-1.

Jose Enrique Vivas won a ten-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Carlos Jackson in a featherweight fight.

Vivas, 125.9 lbs of Montebello, CA won by scores of 97-93 and is now 19-1. Jackson, 125.1 lbs of Atlanta, GA is 16-1.

Ricardo Sandoval stopped Raymond Tabugon in round seven of a scheduled 10-round flyweight bout at the Fantasy Spring Casino Resort in Indio, Califoenia

In round two, Sandoval dropped Tabugon with a left hook.

Sandoval continued to beat down Tabugon until the bout was stopped in round seven,

Sandoval, 111.8 lbs of Riverside, CA is 18-1 with 13 knockouts. Tabugon, 111.2 lbs of General Santos City, PHL is 22-12-1.

“It was a great fight,” said Ricardo Sandoval. “It was a great fight for the people. Raymond was a tough opponent with a lot of experience. I needed that kind of experience. Oscar Negrete won a 10-round unanimous decision over Alberto Melian in a bantamweight bout.

Negrete, 117.4 lbs of Los Angeles, CA won by scores of 98-92 twice and 97-93 and is now 19-2-2. Melian, 117.6 lbs of Buenos Aires, ARG is 6-2.

In round one, Melian was cut over the right eye from a punch.

Sulem Urbina remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Noemi Bosques in a super flyweight bout.

Urbina, 112.6 lbs of Phoenix, AZ won by scores of 60-54 on all cards and is now 12-0. Bosques, 113.6 lbs of St. Petersburg, FL is 12-15-3.

Leonardo Baez won an eight-round unanimous decision over former world title challenger Moises Flores in a featherweight bout.

Baez, 123.8 lbs of Mexicali, MX won by scores of 80-72 on all cards and is now 18-2. Flores, 124 lbs of Guadalajara, MX is 24-3.

“My opponent was an interim champion,” said Leonardo Baez. “He had more experience than me. That’s why we trained hard in the gym. I want bigger fights and tougher opponents.”

Anthony Reyes and Diuhl Olguin fought to a no-contest after a headbutt forced the bout to be stopped at 53 seconds of round three of their scheduled six-round super bantamweight bout.

“At first I was doing good,” said Anthony Reyes. “I was still warming up. My opponent was very experienced. Unfortunately, the headbutt happened. The cut was pretty deep.” “I feel unsatisfied,” said Diuhl Olguin. “The fight was barely going to start. My opponent was a great counter puncher. I was pressuring and unfortunately the headbutt occurred.”

Oscar Acevedo remained undefeated by winning a six-round majority decision over Dan Murray after a headbutt forced the fight to end 23 seconds early.

Acevedo, 134 lbs of Los Angeles won by scores of 59-55 twice and 57-57, and is now 7-0. Murray, 134.2 lbs of Lanoka Harbor, NJ is 5-3.

In a battle of undefeated super featherweights, Anthony Garnica won a four-round majority decision over Luis Alvarado.

Garnica, 126.4 lbs of Oakland, CA won by scores of 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38, and is now 5-0. Alvarado, 128 lbs of Pasco, WA is 1-1.

ATLANTIC CITY– Middleweight’s D’Mitrus Ballard and Elias Espadas battled to a no-contest when Espadas was deemed not able to continue due to a cut over his left eye in round three of their scheduled 10-round bout at The Ocean Casino Resort,

In round three, Espadas was cut badly over the left eye from a headbutt.  There were was a furious exchange where both fighters seemed hurt in the 3rd.  Later in the round, the ringside doctor called a halt to the bout at

Eddie Gomez was explosive in scoring a 2nd round stoppage over Saul Corral in a scheduled 10-round welterweight bout

In round two, Gomez dropped Corral with a hard right.  Seconds later, it was a crush double-left to the body that sent Corral to the canvas.  Corral was hurt and a clipping left sent him down for a 3rd time.  Gomez ended with a devastating flurry of punches that had the referee stop the bout as Corral was falling for a 4th and final time at 1:55.

Gomez, 146. lbs of Bronx, NY is now 23-3 with 13 knockouts.  Corral, 146.4 lbs of Douglas, AZ is 30-14.

WBC Super Middleweight champion Franchon Crews Dezurn stopped Kayla Williams in the 5th Round of a scheduled eight-round non-title bout.

The fight featured some wild exchanges, but Crews Dezurn landed the harder shots, and the bout was halted at 1:40 after Crews Dezurn landed several more flush shots.

Crews Dezurn, 167.6 lbs of Norfolk, MD is 5-1 with two knockouts.  Williams, 164.2 lbs of New Iberia, LA is now 0-3-1.

Gabriel Pham won a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Jab Khositashivili in a super middleweight bout.

In round one, Pham was credited with a knockdown when he landed a right hook that made Khositashvili’s knee hit the canvas.  In round four, Khositashvili was bleeding from his nostril.

Pham, 167.8 lbs of Atlantic City won by scores of 60-53 and 59-54 twice and is mow 11-1.  Khositashvili, 167 lbs of Philadelphia is 4-1.

“I boxed well. He was a tough guy and kept coming forward; I just had to use the angles and move around, just like my trainer told me to do. I followed the game plan and came out victorious, so I’m happy,” said Pham

Mike Reed won a eight-round unanimous decision over Angel Hernandez in a welterweight bout.

Reed, 141.4 lbs of Washington, DC won by scores of 79-73 twice and 78-74 twice and is now 25-2.  Hernandez, 141.8 lbs of McAllen, TX is 15-14-2.

“This was a very tough fight, exactly what I needed right now. I’m looking for the world title at 135 or 140. I feel really good,” said Reed.

George Rincon remained undefeated by stopping Greg Young Jr. in round four of their scheduled six-round welterweight bout.

In round one, Rincon dropped Young with a hard left to the body.  After continuously beating down Young, Rincon landed a flurry of shots that was finished with a body shot that sent Young down for the 10-count at 2:01.

Rincon, 139.8 lbs of Dallas, TX is 7-0 with four knockouts.  Young,  141.4 lbs of Hoover, AL is 4-2.

“I started strong and I thought I got him on the first round. I was a little anxious to finish, but it was a great fight. I learn with each fight and I’m ready for the next one,” said Rincon.

Dan Murray won a four-round unanimous decision over Leonardo Kenon in a super lightweight bout.

Murray, 140 lbs of Barnaget, NJ won by scores of 40-36 twice and 39-37 and is now 5-2.  Kenon, 136.6 lbs of Quincy, FL is 3-6.
