SATURDAY, AUGUST 13th – MELROSE, MASSACHUSETTS BOSTON BOXING PROMOTIONS RETURNS LIVE ON COMBATSPORTSNOW.COM

Boston, MA (August 9, 2022)

Boston Boxing Promotions returns this Saturday, August 13, 2022, with a night of professional boxing at the legendary Memorial Hall in Melrose, Massachusetts.

In the main event, Chelmsford, MA’s Brandon Higgins (8-2, 5 KOs) will take on Fall River, MA’s Dustin Reinhold (7-5, 3 KO’s) in a six-round welterweight contest. The bout will be a rematch of their first encounter last November in Windham, NH. The all action fight, which Higgins won by majority decision, was a candidate for New England’s 2021 Fight of the Year.

Boston’s Carlos Gongora (20-1, 15 KOs), the former IBO Super Middleweight Champion of the world will face battle tested Oscar Riojas (28-15-1, 16 KOs) of Laredo, TX in an eight-round super middleweight contest. Gongora is currently ranked #9 in the world and is looking to make a statement to secure another world title opportunity.

Salem, MA’s Kenny Larson (4-0, 4 KOs) will meet Berwick, ME’s Ryan Clark (2-1, 1 KO) in a six-round welterweight bout. Larson has stopped all four of his previous opponents in impressive fashion since making his professional debut last November. Clark will look to bounce back from the first loss of his career last April.

Local favorite, Nicky Tejada (1-0, 1 KO) of Haverhill, MA makes his home-state pro debut against Portland, ME’s Carl Langston (0-0). Tejada won his pro debut earlier this summer in Verona, NY on a card that was part of International Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Weekend. Langston is a longtime veteran of the New England mixed-martial-arts and kickboxing circuit and will be making his boxing debut.

In a bout with international flavor, undefeated prospect Juan Carrillo (7-0, 5 KOs) of Baranquilla, Columbia is scheduled to take on Victor Fonseca (18-11-1, 14 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico in an eight-round light heavyweight encounter.

Also featured on the card will be a pair of fighters from the boxing hotbed of Oxnard, California.

Lightweight power puncher Danny Robles (8-2-1, 6 KOs), who holds a state record for “Fastest Knockout” at 13 seconds, and junior middleweight, Kody Koboski (2-1, 2 KO’s) who is coming off his first loss against Fernando Vargas Jr. earlier this year on the undercard of Keith Thurman’s return, will both appear in separate bouts.

THE GREAT AMERICAN BOXING BASH – THREE STRAIGHT WEEKENDS OF FREE BOSTON BOXING LIVE ON YOUTUBE STARTS THIS FRIDAY!

Boston (July 19, 2021):

Boston Boxing Promotions is proud to present the biggest boxing event to take place in New England since the pandemic, The Great American Boxing Bash, three consecutive Friday Nights of boxing live from the legendary Castleton in Windham, New Hampshire and broadcast for free on Boston Boxing Promotion’s YouTube Page.

The regional excitement surrounding The Great American Boxing Bash is unprecedented with tickets to the first event selling out shortly after going on sale and now being sold online at 4 times the face value.

“Although Boston Boxing Promotions was able to run 4 empty venue events during the pandemic, hardcore boxing fans in and around New England have not been able to attend a live event in over a year and half. The demand was so overwhelming from both fighters and fans, we decided to do three straight weekends featuring over 30 fights.” Said Boston Boxing Promotions president, Peter Czymbor.

“And if there was one fight that our fans have been begging for it is the long awaited neighborhood war between two of our most popular fighters, Harry Gigliotti (7-2, 3 KOs) and Brandon Higgins (7-1, 5 KOs). This fight has been building in anticipation among local boxing fans since both fighters turned pro and now with virtually identical records, it’s a true 50/50 fight and the winner will be ready for the national stage.”

In addition to the highly anticipated Gigliotti vs. Higgins showdown, The Great American Boxing Bash will feature:

The most popular and talented fighter to emerge from Maine since Joey Gamache, Brandon Berry (22-5-2, 15 KOs) who fights Travis Casetellon (16-4-1, 12 KOs) for the NABA-USA Welterweight Title.

The return of undefeated blue chip prospect, Evan Holyfield (6-0, 4 KOs), son of Hall of Famer and only 4 time heavyweight world champion, Evander Holyfield.

The return of Massachusetts’ undefeated Amanda Pavone (8-0, 3 KOs) who is closing in on a world title shot.

An appearance from Oxnard, California single shot knockout sensation, Danny Robles (6-0-1, 4 KOs) who went viral last year on a Boston Boxing Promotions event when he set a state record for fastest KO at 13 seconds.

Connecticut’s buzzed about national amateur standout, Alejandro Paulino (1-0, 1 KO), who recently turned professional on a Boston Boxing event and is already considered one of New England’s most promising prospects.

Undefeated heavyweight, James Torney (4-0, 4 KOs) who has been serving as one of Deontay Wilder’s chief sparring partners in preparation for his mega fight with Tyson Fury.

And a who’s who of fighters from one of the hottest regional boxing scene in the country including James Perkins (4-0-1, 3 KOs), Nick Molina (3-0, 1 KO), Travis Gambardella (6-1-2, 2 KOs), Kris Jacobs (3-1-1, 1 KO), Kyle Cusick (2-1) and many more.

Despite knowing all 3 shows would be sold out, it was still important to Czymbor and company that the national audience that the promotion gained during the pandemic not be forgotten. Therefore the Great American Boxing Bash will remain free to watch live and online with commentary from fan favorite, BoxRec’s Grey Johnson and a revolving door of special guest commentators that has included on past broadcasts, boxing legends like Micky Ward.

“After the the amazing viewership we received for our empty venue shows during the pandemic, we wanted those fans from around the country and the world to be able experience the excitement that is Boston Boxing Promotions at the Castleton, a venue which has become New England’s version of the late, great Blue Horizon. We can’t wait to showcase one of the best regional boxing scenes in the country with the Great American Boxing Bash.”

The Great American Boxing Bash presented by Boston Boxing Promotions takes place Friday, July 23rd, Friday, July 30th and Friday August 6th at the Castleton in Windham, New Hampshire. Tickets for July 23rd are completely sold out. Very limited tickets remain for July 30th and August 6th and are available at www.boxingnh.com. DANNY ROBLES SETS NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE RECORD FOR FASTEST KNOCKOUT AT 13 SECONDS WITH DEVASTATING KO

Professional Boxing records in the state of New Hampshire date back to 1886 but the fastest knockout in the state’s history took place this past weekend when Oxnard, California featherweight, Danny Robles knocked out New York’s Antonio Lucaine in 13 seconds as part of Boston Boxing Promotion’s Showcase II which was streamed live on www.YouTube.com/bostonboxing.

Robles, who has been making noise at gyms in the boxing hotbed of Ventura County with his unnatural power, entered the state history books with a single shot knockout that rendered his opponent unconscious in terrifying fashion.

“It was scary for a few minutes. I was relieved my opponent was ok.”, explains Robles who fights out of KnuckleHeadz Boxing in Ventura, California.

“I was really hoping to get some rounds in knowing my opponent had a decent amateur background, but he wanted to trade right out of the gate and that’s a mistake for anyone to do with me.”

As for setting a record that’s stood for decades, Robles is proud of the feat but is anxious to accomplish more.

“It’s an honor to have set a record like that. My team and I were looking to have a busy year and fight every other month in 2020 to help make up for my lack of amateur experience but then the pandemic hit. I’ve been making up for it with some great sparring and now I’m looking to fight as much as possible and keep the knockouts coming. I’m thankful to Boston Boxing Promotions for bringing me out to the east coast and giving me this opportunity to set a record. I look forward to fighting for them again at the start of the new year and having a breakout 2021.”

As Boston Boxing Promotions President, Peter Czymbor adds, “Danny Robles has exhibited extraordinary power in his last two fights, both with us at Boston Boxing Promotions, in the state of New Hampshire. In his fight in August, it sounded like a gun shot went off when he needed just north of 90 seconds to dispose of his opponent with a brutal body shot. We were hoping to see him get more work in his most recent fight this past Saturday, but one well placed right hand ended everything in 13 seconds. In hindsight, it’s exciting to say that the fastest KO in New Hampshire state history happened on one of our events. However, in the moment it was scary. His opponent was able to walk away OK but it was frightening for a few minutes. Robles has the type of terrifying but exciting power that makes him a can’t miss young fighter the boxing world needs to know about.”
