Former World Champion Tevin Farmer Takes on Patrick Okine on Friday, December 1st at The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia

Philadelphia (November 20, 2023) –- R and B Promotions will kick off the last month of 2023 with a big night of boxing on Friday, December 1st at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Headlining the card will be former world champion Tevin Farmer taking on Patrick Okine in a eight-round junior lightweight bout.

?Farmer of Philadelphia is 32-5-1 with seven knockouts. The 33-year-old Framer defeated Angelo Ward (1-0), Tim Witherspoon Jr. (6-1-1), Tyrone Luckey (4-1-1), Camilo Perez (9-0), Noel Echevarria (11-10), Emmanuel Gomez (14-0), Viktor Chermous (15-1-1), Angel Luna (10-0-1), Daulis Prescott (30-2), former world champion Gamailei Diaz, Ivan Redkach (19-1-1) and Dardan Zenunaj (12-2).

On August 3, 2018, Farmer traveled to New South Wales, Australia, and defeated Billy Dib (44-4) to win the IBF Junior League championship. Farmer defended the title four times with wins over James Tennyson (22-2), Francisco Fonseca (22-1-1), Jono Carroll (16-0-1) and Guillaume Frenois (46-1-1). Farmer came back after a three-and-a-half-year hiatus with a 10-round unanimous decision over Avery Sparrow on June 24th at the 2300 Arena. In his bout, Farmer viciously stopped Oscar Barajas in six-rounds on September 29th at the 2300 Arena.

Okine of Accra, Ghana is 21-6-2 with 18 knockouts. The 32-year-old Okine has defeated David Kotey (1-0) and Richard Amenfu (4-1). Kotey is coming off a loss to Cletus Seldin on October 10th in New York.

Edwin Cortes (4-0) of Millville, New Jersey collides with Tyrone Arzeno (1-2, 1 KO) of Philadelphia in a bantamweight fight.

In a battle of undefeated middleweights, Allen Otto (2-0-1,2 KOs) of Pennsauken, New Jersey fights James Abraham (2-0-1, 2 KOs) of Queens, New York.

Devin Gantt (5-0, 5 KOs) of Sicklerville, New Jersey takes on an opponent to be named in a featherweight contest.

Ghandi Romain (2-1, 2 KOs) of Irvington, NJ fights Jamar Leach (1-1) of Philadelphia in a welterweight fight.

Steve Cunningham Jr. (2-0, 2 KOs) of Pittsburgh takes on Angelo Thompson (0-7) of Irvington,4-0- New Jersey in a junior middleweight clash.

EARLY RESULTS FROM ATLANTIC CITY

ATLANTIC CITY–Shinard Bunch took out Abraham Afful in round two of their scheduled eight-round junior welterweight fight.

In round two, Bunch dropped Afful with a hard left hook. Affull rolled on his side and did not beat the 10-count at 13:25.

Bunch of Trenton, NJ is now 21-2-1 with 17 knockout. Afful of Accra, GHA is 12-6-1.

Devin Gantt remained undefeated with a fourth round stoppage over Kevin Traynor in a six-round super bantamweight bout.

In round one, Gantt dropped Traynor with a hard flurry of punches. Gantt seemed one punch away from stopping Traynor on several occasions in the opening round.

In round four, Gantt started unloading hard shots to the body and head that forced Traynor to take a knee and the corner stopped the bout 1:18.

Gantt of Sicklerville, NJ is 5-0 with five knockouts. Traynor of Scotland is 1-5.

Nimal Farmer remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over durable Nelson Morales in a welterweight fight.

Farmer was dominant as he landed flurries for the better part of the fight and keeping Morales on the ropes. Morales did well to stay on his feet and he started to spit out blood towards the end of round five.

Farmer of Lindenwold, NJ won by scores of 60-54 on all cards and is now 5-0. Morales of Scranton, PA is 4-9

Khalid Billings remained undefeated by stopping Aaron Newmones in the opening round of their four-round welterweight bout.

Billings dropped Newmones with a perfect left to the head. Newmones was badly hurt and Billings sensed it as he went right after Newmones and dropped him again, and the fight was stopped at 1:34.

Billings of Queens, NY is 3-0 with two knockouts. Newmones of Atlantic City is 1-4.

Dawejko Stops Marshall in 4

BENSALEM, PA–Popular heavyweight Joey Dawejko stopped Mike Marshall in round four of their scheduled six-round bout at The Xcite Center inside Parx Casino.

In round two, Dawejko uncorked a wicked left hook that hit Marshall square in the right side of his head, and he fell on his back. Dawejko landed hard body shots with both hands.

Just after the 10-second clap in round four, Dawejko landed another quick and powerful left hook that sent Marshall down for a second time. Marshall struggled to his feet and the referee Eric Dali waved the fight off at the 3:00 mark.

Dawejko, 261.7 lbs of Philadelphia is now 22-10-4 with 13 knockouts. Marshall, 251.7 lbs of Danbury, CT is 6-4-1.

Daiyaan Butt won a six-round unanimous decision over Tyrone Luckey in a super lightweight bout.

In round five, Luckey began to bleed from his nose.

Butt, 141.5 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-54 twice and 58-56 and is now 11-2. Luckey, 140.2 lbs of Galloway, NJ is 15-18-4

Nelson Morales won a five-round technical split decision over Christopher Burgos in a super lightweight.

The bout was stopped at 2:45 of round five as Burgos was unable to continue to due to an accidental headbutt.

Morales, 140.9 lbs of Scranton, PA is 3-1. Burgos, 142 lbs of Philadelphia is 3-6-2.

Soslan Alborov and Brendan O’Callaghan battled to a spirited four-round majority draw in a middleweight fight.

Scores were 40-36 for O’Callaghan and 38-38 twice.

Bryce Mills won a four-round unanimous decision over Carlos Marrero in a super lightweight bout.

Mills, 142 lbs of Syracuse, NY won by scores of 40-36 on all cards and is now 9-1. Marrero, 142 lbs of Bridgeport, PA is 3-8.

Tyler Zwicharowski made a successful pro debut by stopping Andre Hinmon in round three of their four-round middleweight contest.

In round three, Zwicharowski battered Hinmon all over the ring until he put him down with a right hand. Zwicharowski was all over Hinmon that forced referee Shawn Clark to stop the bout at 1:18.

Zwicharowski, 162.5 lbs of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout. Hinmon, 166 lbs of Philadelphia is 0-2.

In a battle of pro debuting super featherweights, Devin Gantt stopped Tajiro Arakawa in round three of their four-round bout.

In round three, Gantt hurt Arakawa with a combination and he dropped him face-first with a hard left hand. Referee Eric Dali waved it off at 44 seconds.

Gantt, 126.3 lbs of Sicklerville, NJ is 1-0 with one knockout. Arakawa, 128.7 lbs of New York, NY is 0-1.

Everlon Still won a four round unanimous decision over Derrick Vann in a super middleweight bout.

Still, 169.5 lbs of Voorhees, NJ won by scores of 40-36 and 39-37 twice and is now 2-2. Vann, 166.5 lbs of Philadelphia, PA is 2-5.
