TOPPENISH, Wash. (January 31, 2020) – Hot Filipino prospect Jade “Hurricane” Bornea struck America last night and he delivered, winning a 10-round split decision over previously unbeaten Ernesto Delgadillo, to capture the vacant North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight title.

Fighting for the first time as a professional in the United States, the 24-year-old Bornea (15-0, 1o KOs) went into the fight rated No. 10 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and No. 15 by the World Boxing Association (WBA). He is a former IBF World Youth and World Boxing Oriental Youth super flyweight champion.

Last night on a show presented by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions, Bornea made a name for himself outside his native Philippines with an impressive victory against Delgadillo (11-1-2, 2 KOs), a former World Boxing Council (WBC) United States super flyweight titlist.

The 10-round main event was split into almost two different fights: Delgadillo effectively jabbed his way to take the early rounds, and he registered a somewhat questionable knockdown in the sixth round. Bornea successfully closed the distance after three rounds, sitting in the pocket and becoming more aggressive as the fight went on.

Bornea won a split decision (96-93 X 2 & 93-96) to become the new NABF super flyweight champion.

In the co-featured event, Northern Ireland middleweight Connor “The Kid” Coyle improved his record to 12-0 (5 KOs), needing only three minutes to take care of business. Coyle connected on a crisp combination at the end of round one, hurting his Mexican opponent, Miguel Dumas (11-3, 8 KOs). On the advice of the ringside physician, referee Joel Scobie halted the action after round one for a Coyle TKO win.

In a battle of undefeated Northwest light heavyweights, Seattle’s Richard VanSicien (8-0, 4 KOs) scored a first-round stoppage of Abraham Martin (5-1, 5 KOs), of Oregon, when referee Jack Reiss waved off the fight after one round.

Washington super lightweight William Hernandez-Gomez (4-0, 2 KOs) pitched a shutout against Abdul Kamara (1-2), winning all four rounds in convincing fashion.

In a rematch of a draw, Washington super lightweight Margarito Hernandez (1-0-1) won a unanimous 4-round decision over intra-state rival Joshua Wheeler (0-1-1); Tacoma, WA featherweight Jerrell Barbour (1-0) won his professional debut with a 4-rround unanimous decision over Kendall Ward (0-6).

Florida middleweight Glenn Hagler, Jr. (4-1, 2 KOs) and Oregon’s Charon Spain (1-13-2) fought to a 4-round draw.

LAS VEGAS (December 23, 2019) – Three days prior to Super Bowl LIV, Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions, in association with Sanman Boxing, will present its first RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS® event of 2020, Thursday night, January 30, at Legends Casino and Hotel in Toppenish, Washington.

RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS will be streamed live and exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS®, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports, starting at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.

Unbeaten Ernesto Delgadillo (11-0-2, 2 KOs) will battle undefeated Jade “Hurricane” Bornea (14-0, 10 KOs) for the vacant North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight title in the 10-round main event.

Delgadillo, fighting out of Dallas, is a former World Boxing Council (WBC) United States super flyweight and Texas State flyweight titlist.

Rated No. 10 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and No. 15 by the World Boxing Association (WBA), Bornea is a former IBF Youth World champion, as well as the latest member of a new wave of gifted Filipino fighters.

Delgadillo will be in action for the first time since the summer of 2018, when he won a 10-round decision over 10-1 Nate Green. “I am excited to be fighting for the NABF super flyweight title on UFC FIGHT PASS,” Delgadlillo said. “On January 30th, I’ll be in the best shape of my career, and bring that belt back to Dallas with me to prove that I belong in there with the very best of the division.”

Undefeated Mexican knockout artist, rising star Santiago “Somer” Dominguez (20-0, 16 KOs) will put his WBC USNBC Silver welterweight title on the line against his Brazilian challenger, Victor “La Amenza” Jones Freitas (16-5, 10 KOs), in the 10-round, co-featured event.

Undefeated middleweight Connor “The Kid” Coyle (11-0, 4 KOs), the Northern Ireland sensation who has become as regular on RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS events, takes on Miguel Dumas (11-2, 9 KOs), of Mexico, in an 8-round bout.

A pair of undefeated Northwest prospects, light heavyweights Richard Van Sicien (7-0, 3 KOs) and Abraham Martin (5-0, 5 KOs), open the UFC FIGHT PASS segment of the evening in a 6-round match. Van Sicien is from Seattle, Oregon, Martin from Medford, Oregon, by way of Mexico.

LAS VEGAS, NV (August 14, 2019) – Prince Ranch Boxing’s undefeated super bantamweight prospect and rising star, Raeese “The Beast” Aleem (14-0, 8 KOs), who is promoted by Kings Promotions, gives his thoughts on his upcoming fight with fellow undefeated foe, Ernesto Delgadillo (11-0, 2 KOs).

On his recent training camp:

Expect a great performance from me on fight night.”

On his upcoming fight with Ernesto Delgadillo:
“This guy is highly skilled and boost an undefeated record, so I know I’m in a step-up fight. These are the type of fights that take a fighter to the next level, and my goal is to make a statement against Delgadillo. This will be my toughest fight and I’m up for the challenge, but make no mistake about it, If I get him hurt, I’m going for the knockout.”

On the state of the super bantamweight division:
“Right now, the 122-pound division is stacked with the best fighters in any weight class in my opinion. Rey Vargas, the WBC champ is an incredible talent, and he’s undefeated for a reason. Daniel Roman and Emanuel Navarrete, both great champions in their own right, haven’t lost a in years. So, I would have to say this division is the best in boxing. Guillermo Rigondeaux is right there as well. I see myself beating all these guys and my time will come, the takeover is happening now.”

On what a win will do for his career:
“A victory against Delgadillo will be good for my career because it’ll be a win against another undefeated fighter. This will be the second undefeated fighter I’ve faced in my career. After I win this fight, I’ll be ready for anyone in the top 10 of any sanctioning organization.”

Aleem also has defeated two undefeated foes in Marcus Bates (8-0-1) and DeVonte Allen (4-0-1).

Delgadillo of Dallas, Texas has a record of 11-0-2 with two knockouts.

The 25 year-old Delgadillo has quality wins on his resume over Josue Morales (1-0-1), Bryan Aquino (11-1) to win the WBC USNBC Super Flyweight title.

He defended the the title twice with wins over Oscar Mojica (11-3) and his bout when won a 10-round unanimous decision over Nate Green (10-0) on August 4th, 2018 in Dallas.

Seeing action in the eight-round co-feature is rising super middleweight contender Kalvin “Hot Sauce” Henderson.

Henderson of Fayetteville, Arkansas has a record 12-0 with eight knockouts.

Henderson, 29 years-old has defeated two undefeated fighters in Cameron Burroughs (2-0) and Bobby Taylor (4-0).

On December 7, 2018, Henderson captured the UBF Intercontinental Title with a 7th round stoppage over Brandon Robinson (11-1) in a fight that was awarded The Philadelphia Fight of the Year.

Henderson is coming off a 3rd round stoppage over Antowyan Aikens on May 10th in Philadelphia.
