Ramirez stops Zuniga in 8!

Gilberto Ramirez remained undefeated by scoring an 8th round stoppage over Fulgencio Zuniga at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Ramirez was impressive by landing about 30 punches per round and in round eight he caught Zuniga with a hard uppercut that set up a barrage of punches until the fight was stopped at 1:31 of round eight.

Ramirez, 167 1/2 lbs of Mexico is now 30-0 with 24 knockouts. Zuniga, 167 1/4 lbs of Colombia is now 27-10-1.

Good looking prospect Oscar Valdez scored an 8th round stoppage over Alberto Garza in the final scheduled round of their Super Featherweight bout.

Valdez dominated the action and then landed a big flurry on the ropes that forced the referee stopped the bout at 1:31 of round eight.

Valdez, 128 1/4 lbs of Nogales, MEX is now 13-0 with 12 knockouts. Garza, 128 1/4 lbs is now 26-9-1.




THOMAS “TOMMY GUN” OOSTHUIZEN RETAINS TITLE WITH DOMINATE DECISION OVER FORMER WORLD TITLE CHALLENGER FULGENCIO ZUNIGA

New York, NY/ Gauteng, SA (11/10/12) – Earlier tonight, 24-year-old red-hot undefeated super middleweight contender Thomas “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen (21-0-1, 13KO’s) retained his IBO super middleweight championship with a dominate twelve round unanimous decision over four-time world title challenger Fulgencio Zuniga (25-6-1, 22KO’s) at the Emperor’s Palace in Gauteng, South Africa.

Oosthuizen, who is promoted by Rodney Berman’s Golden Gloves and DiBella Entertainment, dominated the action throughout, seemingly having his way with the much more experienced Zuniga, winning by scores of 120-108, 119-109, 119-109. Oosthuizen is expected to return action stateside sometime in early 2013.
