San Antonio, TX—Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield, 134.5 14-0 (11KOs) of Austin, Tx fought Haskell Rhodes 134.5 Lbs 28-4-1 (13KOs) fighting out of Las Vegas, NV. The pressure of headlining a major card did not have a negative effect on the young prospect he even braced it during the match. As this was a last minute change due to Vergil Ortiz having to withdraw by fainting Thursday. While it was not what the fights wanted when booking their trip, he gave the fans a show that almost forget it was a Vergil fight card. Dealing with the affect of homelessness one can say it helped him take on big adversities head on with out hesitation and welcome any new challenges. 

In what looked to be a quick fight as Schofield was out classing rhodes in the first 2 rounds snapping his head back with powerful jabs, and being poised not leaving himself open for a counter punch. Then the fight evened out as Rhodes started to garner some energy taking Schofields shots and giving him some as well. That all changed once the 7th round came as Floyd at the half way point of the round floored Rhodes with a short left hook to the face beating the 10 count Rhodes got up and regrouped but it short lived as he was knocked down again by a barrage of punches with 56 second left in the round. Looking to close out the schofield was in fifth gear in the 8th attacking and getting the 3rd knock down of the fight. With a uppercut to the body that had a delay getting Rhodes to the mat, similar to a liver shot would take. Dangerously having the count reach 8 almost 9 this time, none the less Rhodes did get up and continue to make it out of the round. In the 9th round schofield was cut under his left eye but not from a punch rather a brutal headbutt opening a huge gash.

Before the start of the last round(10th) the referee took Schofield to see the ring side doctor in which he said the fight can continue, Floyd used the crowds energy to electrify his performance to closed out the night. With all 3 Judges and everyone in the AT&T Center seeing it 100-87 unanimous decision in favor of “Kid Austin”. When asked about the headbutt he stated “its boxing you have to face adversity” and then called out 2020 silver medalist Keyshawn Davis 8-0 (6KOs) “send the contract and stop playing”. In the post fight conference Schofield again followed up calling out Davis, how ever his co-promoter Bernard Hopkins had another idea by putting it out there that he should Jojo Diaz next.

JOJO looked re focused as he stated in the weigh ins. Even though Jojo he missed weight From the first round he was sharp and used his ring experience to his advantage. Staying to get what he needed then backing out not letting Jerry the chance to offer what he had. Perez did not back down as JoJo was giving him some hard shots. As the fight continued Perez gained some traction and he and JoJo went back and forth giving the fans a performance to talk about. In the 5th round Diaz look to have stunned Perez with a left hook to the side of the head. Followed by a combination to the head of Perez in which he took the hits well. The fights entirety was a fight that fans can enjoy with both fighters going at it and not backing down. JoJo came out the winner and rightfully so, earning a unanimous decision judges Alvarez and Robles scoring it 97-93 and Ciaz having it 98-92. In post fight conference Diaz stated that he felt Great physically and mentally, wants to be a good role model for the younger generation. JoJo did look refocused in the ring tonight as he utilized his experience and boxing skills and called out the names of William Zepeda 28-0 24KOs in which he lost by unanimous decision, Shakur Stevenson, and another revenge match with Mercito Gesta 34-3-3 17KOs who he lost by Majority Decision in March of this year.

Marlén Esparza 111.5 13-1 (1KO) Houston, TX vs Gabriela Alaniz 14-0 (6KOs) fighting out of Buenos Aries, ARG in this Fly weight fight for the unified title from the first bell rang both fighters came out swinging and had the interest of the crowd. ‘La Chucky’ landed a few more and cause Esparza to bleed from her left eye. In what could be the flight of the night  it was all action with Gabriela’s relentless straight forward attack and Marlens counter punches. As the fight went on each fighter proved they were ready give it their all and leave it in the ring. In the weigh in Marlén stated that “La Chucky is just a name of a doll and is not scared” which she proved standing and exchanging blows. Gabriela stated that she is “excited and wants to win”. Both  of these women are giving the fans what they were selling. In a phone booth type fight it went the distance with Espraza edging Alaniz by Majority Decison 95-95, 99-91, 97-93 on the 3 judges score cards. With the disapproval from the crowd who thought “La Chucky” Alaniz won the fight getting boos from her home state fans. 

Eric Tudor 155.5 8-0 (6KOs) of Fort Lauderdale FL took on Reggie Harris Jr 162.5 7-3 (3KOs)  what a way to start the broadcast with a quick knock down as Tudor sends Harris jr to the mat with a monstrous right hook to the head. The action continued to the  3^rd with both fighters exchanging punch leading up to Harris losing his mouth guard. 

Harris had the better forth by stunning Tudor and sending him to the ropes, trying to capitalize on it, Harris rush but was met with better defense. Not landing any clear shots Tudor recovered and even starting to tease Harris by patting his head, before again knocking his mouth guard out.           

Harris took advantage of how low tudors kept his left hand through out the fight especially in the 7^th round. However Eric seemed to still be in control stunning Reggie with a left and rights to the head but what did most damage was a left to his ear is what made Harris wobble. Tudor closed out the bout earning a hard fought win by Unanimous decision 77-74 on one of the judges and with the other two scoring the bout 78-73. In the post fight conference Tudor told reporters that the weight advantage played a role and he made the mistake of making the fight harder than it should have been. He looks to continue to develop through the remaining of the year and wants to keep active.

Tristan “Sweet T” Kalkreuth 10-1 7(KOs) Duncanville, TX took on “Mighty” Joe Jones 13-8 (10KOs) of Jersey City, NJ 2^nd fight on the Schofield VS Rhodes undercard. Sweet T made his 12^th pro fight look too sweet. Utilizing his right hand to dominate the fight knocking down Jones 2 times in the 2^nd round almost not making the count each time, taking full advantage of the 8 count. The 3^rd and final knock down was was enough for Sweet T to end the fight. The official time was 2:12 of the 2^nd by Knock out.

In a Dynamite opening attraction, Darius Fulghum 176.5LBS 5-0 (5Kos) of Houston TX lived up to his nickname “TNT” taking out Jeremiah Curtright 178.5LBS 2-1 (2Kos) of ST. Charles MO by TKO. The referee stopped the bout in the 3^rd at the 2:17 mark. Since the 1^st round Darius used his boxing skills to penetrate Jeremiah Curtrights High and tight defense. Knocking Jeremiah mouth piece twice before the round ended. In the 2^nd it was more of the same Darius was getting through the guard using upper cuts, TNT took a clean right but it did not faze him. Curtright was worn out by the end of the round stopping and taking some deep breathes and then leaning on the ropes before sitting. Knowing his opponent was tired Fulghum took advantage and came out to end the fight Knocking down Jeremiah twice with right hooks to the head. Using a combination of body shots and uppercuts the referee came in to stop the bout earning him his 6^th victory and with 6 Kos.

Starting on Friday night at The Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, 2021 Olympic Bronze Medal winner Oshae Jones will make her pro debut against Sonya Dreiling in a six-round welterweight bout.

Jones, 24 of Toledo, Ohio began boxing at the age of 12, spawning a magnificent amateur career that saw her amass a record of 60-9 whilst competing all over the world.

Oshae received the key to her hometown, and was honored with a parade upon coming home with her Olympic Bronze Medal.

She dominated and won many prestigious tournaments such as the 2020 Stramdja, 2020 Boxam International, 2017 Eastern Elite Qualifier, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Elite Nationals, as well as the 2016 Youth Open and 2014 National PAL.

Two of Oshae’s most significant victories came when she received the Gold Medal at the 2019 Pan Am Games and finished first at the 2020 United States Olympic Trials.

Dreiling of Fort Payne, Alabama is 4-2 with two knockouts. The 32 year-old Dreilng is a three year professional, and has a win over Jordanna Garcia (4-0-1).

At Thursday’s weigh-in, both fighters checked in at 147 3/4 lbs.

On the same card at Turning Stone, heavyweight Joe Jones (13-4, 10 KOs) takes on Amron Sands (11-2, 9 KOs) in a bout scheduled for eight-rounds.

Jones of Lynchburg, Virginia is coming off a second round stoppage over former world title challenger Junior Wright on December 2nd in New York. Jones also has a first round stoppage over previously undefeated Montez Brown (8-0).

Sands of Orlando, Florida is looking to get back in the win column after dropping his last two bouts.

Jones weighed 210 lbs. Sands was 282.
Saturday night in New York, undefeated junior welterweight Omar Rosario looks to make it 7-0 when he takes on fellow undefeated Julio Rosa at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Rosario of Caguas, Puerto Rico is 6-0 with two knockouts. The 24 year-old is looking better with each outing as he has wins over three undefeated fighters, Uriel Villanueva (1-0), Wilfred Mariano (3-0) and Marc Misiura (2-0). Rosario is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Raekwon Butler (4-1) on January 15th in Verona, New York.

Rosa (4-0, 1KO) of Orlando, Florida, is a two-year veteran and is coming off a career best win when took a six-round split decision over previously undefeated Michael Garcia (4-0_. on February 26th in Orlando.

NEW YORK–In a rematch of heavyweights, Jerry Forrest and world-ranked Michael Hunter battled to a 10-round split draw at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

It was Forrest who landed the more impactful shots, and seemed to Hunter in trouble throughout the fight. Hunter rallied down the stretch to make it closer on the cards as it looked like Forrest deserved the verdict.

Forrest landed 110 of 402 punches; Hunter was 126-of 458.

Each fighter won a card 96-94 and a 3rd card was 95-95.

Hunter of Las Vegas is now 20-1-2. Forrest of Newport News, VA is 26-4-2.

The fight was a rematch of Hunter taking an eight-round unanimous decision on June 21, 2014.

George Arias won eight-round split decision over Cassius Chaney in a heavyweight bout.

Arias landed 79 of 309 punches; Chaney was 45 of 225.

Arias took two cards by 99-91 and 97-93. Chaney won a card 96-94.

Arias is now 17-0. Chaney is 21-1.

Khainell Wheeler took a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Frederick Julan in a light heavyweight bout.

Julan landed 105 of 322 punches; Wheeler was 83 of 285.

Wheeler won by scores of 59-55 twice and 58-56 and is now 6-1. Julan is 12-1.

Mike Balogun stopped Trey Lippe Morrison in round one of their scheduled 10-round bout.

Balogun dropped two knockdowns and the bout was stopped at 2:40.

Balogun is now 18-0 with 14 knockouts. Morrison is 18-1.

Joe Jones stopped Junior Wright in round two of a scheduled six-round heavyweight bout.

Jones dropped Wright at the end of round one. Jones finished him off 13 seconds into round two.

Jones is now 13-4 with 10 knockouts. Wright is 18-4-1.

PHILADELPHIA–It was a battle of undefeated welterweights that highlighted RDR Promotions 2nd night of back-to-back shows as Mark Dawson won an eight round unanimous decision over towering Ivan Pandzic at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

The opening rounds saw Pandzic trying to use his 6’4″ frame with shots from the outside. His shots were largely ineffective, and Dawson was able to get to the distance where he was able to land solid counter shots. Pandzic was drawn into a firefight on several occasions, which was much to the delight of Dawson as he got the better of the exchanges which led to Pandzic being sent home with his first loss by scores of 79-73, 78-74 and 77-74.

Dawson, 148 lbs of Philadelphia is 9-0-1. Pandzic, 146.2 lbs of Rancho Cucamonga, CA is 13-1-1.

Sean Hemphill remained undefeated as he systematically beat down Robert Burwell in a super middleweight bout.

The time of the stoppage was 2:39 for Hemphill, 171 lbs of New Orleans, LA who is now 13-0 with eight knockouts. Burwell, 173 lbs of Orlando, FL is now 9-5.

Jabril Noble made a successful pro debut with a second round stoppage of Deijerro Revello in super featherweight bout.

Noble dropped Revello in round two with a left hook. he finished it up secons later with another left hook that dropped Revello and the fight was halted at 1:12.

Noble, 132.2 lbs of Philadelphia is 1-0 with one knockout. Revello, 131.2 lbs of Brighton, CO is 0-2.

Rasheen Brown remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Prisco Marquez in a featherweight fight.

Brown dropped Marquez with a straight left at the end of round one.

In round five, it was a left to the body that put Marquez on the deck.

Brown, 129 lbs of Philadelphia won by scores of 60-52, 59-53 and 58-55 and is now 10-0. Marquez, 127.9 lbs of Austin, TX is 4-4-1.

Edgar Joe Cortes won a six-round unanimous decision over Roberto Pucheta in a super bantamweight bout.

Joe Jones took out veteran Dhafir Smith in round three of a scheduled six-round cruiserweight bout.

In round two, Jones dropped Smith with a hard right hand. In round three, Jones landed 10 consecutive blows that forced referee Shawn Clark to stop the bout 18 seconds into the round.

The 30 year-old Dawejko was a former world junior amateur champion, and turned professional on September 26, 2009 with a six-round unanimous decision over Royphy Solieau. Over the length of his career, Dawejko has racked up wins over John Lennox (6-0), Derric Rossy (28-7), Mark Rideput (4-0-2), Enobong Umohette (9-2), Natu Visina (11-1), Demetrius Banks (9-1), Kelvin Nunez (15-0), and In his last bout, Dawejko needed just one round to take out Joe Jones on April 3rd at The 2300 Arena.

Vargas of Sylvania, Ohio had a stellar amateur career where he was a two-time national champion and represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Vargas turned professional on November 26, 2004 with a 1st round stoppage over Adam Smith. That led to a pro record that stands at 22-7 with nine knockouts. PHILADELPHIA (APRIL 8, 2021)–This past Saturday night, popular heavyweight Joey Dawejko knocked out Joe Jones in the opening round of their scheduled eight-round heavyweight bout at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

The bout headlined a card promoted by RDR Promotions.

Dawejko was dominant in dropping Jones twice, with the final punch coming from a big left hook, and the fight was halted at 2:50.

Dawejko of Philadelphia improved his record to 21-8-4 with 12 knockouts. Jones falls to 11-4.

In the co-feature, surging lightweight Nahir Albright notched his third consecutive stoppage victory by stopping Dante Cox in round three of their scheduled six-round bout.

Albright dropped Cox twice in round two, and finished him off at 2:13 of the third frame.

Albright of Sicklerville, NJ is now 11-1 with five knockouts. Cox of Glen Burnie, MD is 6-2.

Former National Golden Gloves champion Mike Hilton shrugged off a knockdown to win a six-round unanimous decision over Twon Smith in a cruiserweight fight.

Smith put Hilton down for a flash knockdown in round three from a left. That was sandwiched around Hilton outboxing Smith, and Hilton took all three cards by 58-55 scores.

Hilton of Trenton, NJ is 11-0. Smith falls to 3-5.

Afunwa King scored a mild upset by taking a six-round majority decision over previously undefeated Benny Sinakin in a light heavyweight bout.

King took two cards by 58-56 tallies, while a third card read even at 57-57.

King is now 3-1. Sinakin of Philadelphia is 6-1.

Matthew Gonzalez of Brooklyn, New York remained undefeated by taking out Luis Eduardo Florez in round five of a scheduled six-round junior welterweight bout.

The time of the stoppage was 2:13 for Gonzalez, who is now 12-0 with eight knockouts. Florez is now 25-19.

Rasheen Brown stopped late-replacement Christopher Nelson in round three of their four-round featherweight fight.

Brown dominated with body shots, and the fight was stopped at 1:50 of round three. A West Philadelphia native, Brown is 7-0 with four knockouts. Nelson is 3-18.

Tahmir Smalls remained undefeated by winning a four-round unanimous decision over Andres Abarca in a welterweight bout.

Scores were 40-34 twice and 39-35 for Smalls, who is now 3-0. Abarca,is 2-4.

Jahdon Ervin made a successful pro debut by taking a four-round unanimous decision over Kareem Gladney in a middleweight fight.

Ervin of St. Clair, PA is 1-0. Gladney is 0-4.

In Los Angeles, cruiserweight “Mighty” Joe Jones takes on undefeated prospect Efetobor Apochi in a bout scheduled for 10-rounds.

Howard of Crossville, Tennessee has a record of 18-0 with 11 knockouts. The 26 year-old Howard is an eight-year professional, who has a 1st round stoppage over Isiah Seldon (12-1-1) as well as a win over Cristian Olivas (16-3). Howard is coming off a unanimous decision over Jamaal Davis on July 19, 2019.

LOS ANGELES (October 14, 2020) – Undefeated middleweights Amilcar Vidal and Edward “The Hunter” Ortiz will square-off in a 10-round showdown that headlines FS1 PBC Fight Night and on FOX Deportes Saturday, November 14 from Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

FS1 PBC Fight Night begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and will see unbeaten Nigerian cruiserweight Efetobor Apochi dueling Joe Jones in the 10-round co-main event. In a special feature on the telecast, unbeaten featherweight prospects meet as Henry “World Star” Arredondo and Eros Correa battle in an eight-round attraction.

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Vidal (11-0, 10 KOs) now fights out of Coachella, California as he prepares to fight in the U.S. for the second time on November 14. The 24-year-old’s previous stateside fight came last November, when he stopped then unbeaten Zach Prieto in round one. Vidal followed that up in January of this year, with another first round stoppage of a previously undefeated fighter, as he dropped Leopoldo Reyna twice to earn the victory.

The 28-year-old Ortiz (11-0-2, 4 KOs) won three times during 2019, including a triumph over Alexis Camacho in November to cap off the year. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Ortiz returned to action in August, beating Antonio Todd by decision. Fighting professionally since April 2016, Ortiz fought to two draws in his first five bouts and has emerged victorious every time he’s entered the ring since July 2017.

Jones (11-2, 8 KOs) will step into the ring for the first time in 2020 after two wins in 2019, including a triumph over then unbeaten Montez Brown, and a decision loss to undefeated Richard Rivera in December. The 25-year-old fights out of Leesburg, Virginia, and has competed professionally since 2013.

The 24-year-old Arredondo (7-0, 4 KOs) will step up in competition on November 14 when he takes on a fellow unbeaten in Correa. The San Antonio, Texas native added five victories to his tally in 2019, improving his pro record after turning pro in 2017. Arredondo enters this fight with knockout wins in his last three outings.

Correa (9-0, 7 KOs) turned pro in 2017 after an extensive amateur career and stopped his first six opponents inside of the distance. The 27-year-old trains out of his native San Jose, California as he prepares for his toughest pro test to date in Arredondo. Correa most recently scored a knockout victory over Saul Alberto Garcia in January.

NEW YORK (December 13, 2019)- Tonight at the Massmutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, Split-T Management cruiserweight “Mighty” Joe Jones takes on Richard Rivera in the main event of a Star Boxing show.

Jones of Leesburg, Virginia has a record of 11-1 with eight knockouts, and the 24 year-old is riding a two fight win streak.

Jones is a six-year professional, who has a 1st round stoppage over previously undefeated Montez Brown (8-0). In his last bout, Jones won a unanimous decision over Twon Smith on June 29th in Laurel, Maryland.

Rivera of Hartford has a record of 15-0 with 12 knockouts. The 29 year-old, has been on a roll since turning professional in 2017 with notable wins over Kevin Cobbs (10-2), Jaime Solorio (12-3-2) and Brian Howard (14-2). Rivera is coming off a 1st round stoppage over Juan Zapata on November 1st in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Jones was 197 lbs. at Thursday’s weigh-in. Rivera was 191.5.

Also tonight, Split-T Management’s Marquis Moore battles Jeff Terrazas in Golden, Colorado in a super middleweight bout.

Moore of Colorado Springs is 9-0 with five knockouts.

The 28 year-old Moore was one of the top amateur boxers in the country as he compiled a record of 140-15, highlighted by representing Team USA in many international events including winning the World National Golden Gloves as well as winning the gold medal in numerous national championships including the 2012 Armed Forces Championships, 2013 and 2014 National Golden Gloves, 2015 National PAL and US Olympic Trials Qualifiers.

NEW YORK (July 1, 2019)–Two members of the Split-T Management stable registered big wins on Saturday night as super featherweight Otha Jones III remained undefeated and cruiserweight, “Mighty” Joe Jones notched his 11th victory.

Otha Jones III notched his 2nd win in seven days over two continents as he won a six-round unanimous decision over Matias Arriagada in a super featherweight bout at The Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Last Saturday, Jones took out Michael Horabin in the 1st round at York Hall in London.
It was a good action fight that saw Jones land the harder punches against a game Arriagada. Jones, who showed fast hands and good combination work, used a variety of punches that landed which included some solid uppercuts.
Jones, 131.4 lbs of Toledo, Ohio won by shutout tallies of 60-54 on all cards, and is now 3-0, Arriagada, 128.4 lbs of Argentina is 6-5.
“This fight taught me to be composed and adjust,” said Jones III.  “I give myself a B.  I will learn to sit down more on my punches, and placing my shots.

Joe Jones used his fast hands, and wore down Smith with body shots over the six-rounds.  Jones won by scores of 59-55 twice and 59-54 to raise his mark to an impressive 11-1.

NEW YORK (April 24, 2019) -Two-Time Olympian from India, Vikas Krishan made it two straight to start his pro career as he took a six-round unanimous decision over Noah Kidd at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Also on Saturday night, cruiserweight, Joe Jones needed just 61 seconds to take out previously undefeated Montez Brown in a cruiserweight bout at The Rosecroft Raceway in Fort Washington, Maryland.

The Krishan – Kidd bout was seen live on ESPN 2.

Krishan fought through a cut over his left eye, but controlled the action with his aggressiveness, and he landed shots on the inside as well boxed well from distance. Krishan won by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55.

The 27 year-old Krishan was an Olympian in 2012 and 2016, and is the only Indian fighter in history to capture gold medals at both the Asian and Commonwealth Games as well as the AIBA Youth Boxing Championships.

In 2012, at the London Olympics, he defeated current IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. via 13-11 decision, only for the decision to be controversially overturned five hours later due to various fouls Krishan committed during the bout.

In the last Olympics, Krishan made it to the quarterfinals. He became the first three-medal winner of the Asian Games as he won a Bronze Medal.

Jones was able to drop Brow with a hard right hand. Jones continued to dominance as he landed a flurry of punches to the body and head before the bout was stopped.

With the win, Jones, 24 years-old of Leesburg, Virginia is now 10-1 with eight-knockouts.
