Tito Sanchez Decisions Erik Ruiz

Tito Sanchez won a 10-round unanimous decision over iron-chinned Erik Ruiz in a super bantamweight fight that headlined at The Fantasy Springs Resort in Indio, California,

In round three, Sanchez hurt Ruiz with a right hand and two more shots put Ruiz on the canvas.

Sanchez, 121.6 lbs of Cathedral City. CA won by scores of 97-92 on all cards and is now 13-0. Ruiz, 121.6 lbs of Oxnard, CA, has never been stopped and has a record of 17-11-1.

Manuel Flores stopped Alberto Guevara in round two of a scheduled 10-round super bantamweight bout.

In round two, Flores landed a booming right that sent Guevara down. He tried to get up just as the referee Jack Reiss counted 10, abd the bout was over at 2:31.

Flores, 122 lbs of Coachella, CA is now 17-1 with 13 knockouts. Guevara, 121.8 lbs of Tijuana, MEX is 27-7.

Grant Flores scored a first round stoppage over Freddy Espinoza in a scheduled six-round super welterweight bout.

In round one, Espinoza began to bleed from his nose. Later in the round, Flores landed a vicious left hook to the body that sent Espinoza to a knee and then crumpled on his back in riving pain and the bout as stopped at

Joshua Garcia had to get off the deck and survive a cut to remain undefeated as he won a six-round split decision over veteran Diuhl Olguin in a six-round lightweight bout.

In round two, Olguin dropped Garcia with a counter right. Seconds later, an accidental headbutt caused a cut over Olguin’s the hairline. Garcia was cut over the left eye.

Garcia landed 107 of 293 punches. Olguin was 82 of 261.

Garcia won two cards by scores of 58-55 and 57-56. Olguin won a card 57-56.

Garcia, 132 lbs of Moreno Valley, CA is 8-0. Olguin, 131.2 lbs of Guadalajara, MEX is 16-37-7.

Anthony Saldivar won a four-round unanimous decision over Henry Rivera in a middleweight bout.

Saldivar landed 91 of 207 punches. Rivera was 18 of 83.

Saldivar, 159.4 lbs of Ontario, CA won by scores of 40-36 on all cards and is now 6-0. Rivera, 158.6 lbs of Las Vegas is 2-5.

The action will take place at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and is presented in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions. In the co-main event, the undefeated Eric Priest (11-0, 7 KOs) of Wichita Falls, Texas will participate in an eight-round middleweight fight against Paul Mendez (21-4-2, 11 KOs) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Priest is coming off a statement victory against Simon Madsen on the undercard of Zepeda vs. Gesta last September. 

Beloved Coachella Valley fighter Grant Flores (3-0, 2 KOs) is scheduled for a six-round welterweight clash against Wayne Boudreaux (3-1, 1 KO) of Marrero, Louisiana. San Diego’s Jorge Chavez (8-0, 6 KOs) will make a splash as a newly minted Golden Boy fighter in a six-round featherweight fight. The newly signed Chavez will have his opponent announced soon. Opening up the DAZN broadcast, Ventura’s Ricardo Ruvalcaba (10-0-1, 9 KOs) will fight in an eight-round super lightweight battle against Monterrey, Mexico’s Irvin Macias (15-3, 10 KOs). 

On the preliminary card, Atlantic City, New Jersey’s Justin Figueroa (6-0, 5 KOs) will fight in a super welterweight match against Jerome Clayton (3-2-1, 3 KOs) of Metairie, Louisiana. Ruiz stops Zamudio in one

Angel Ruiz stopped Miguel Zamudio in the 1st round of their scheduled eight-round welterweight at The Doubletree in Ontario, California.

Ruiz landed a huge left that drove Zamudio to the ropes. Ruiz followed up with four crushing shots that forced the referee to stop the bout at 1:37.

Ruiz, 146.4 lbs of Maywood, CA is 14-0 with 11 knockouts. Zamudio, 147 lbs of Los Mochis, MEX is 43-13-1.

“I did what I came here to do,” said Ruiz, who was born in Mexico, but lives in Los Angeles. “I’m just happy I was able to finish this early and give the fans something to talk about.”

“My jab opens up a lot of angles,” Ruiz said. “I caught him with that left and it was over after that.”

In a battle of undefeated junior middleweights, Richard Brewart Jr. won a six-round unanimous decision over Antonio Duarte.

Brewart, 153 lbs of Rancho Cucamonga, CA won by scores of 60-54 twice and 59-55 to go to 6-0. Duarte, 153.2 lbs of Tijuana, MEX is 2-1.

Mario Hernandez won a six-round unanimous decision over Victor Trejo Garcia in a super flyweight bout.

Hernandez had to survive a 5th round knockdown, but still won by scores of 59-54 twice and 57-56.

Hernandez, 116.4 lbs of Santa Ana, CA is now 9-1-1. Garcia, 116.2 lbs of Mexico is 16-12-1.

Despite being dropped in the opening seconds, Oscar Torrez remained undefeated by stopping Allen Ruiz in round three of a scheduled four-round heavyweight fight.

Ruiz scored a stunning knockdown just seconds into the fight as he landed a left hook. In round two, it was a left from Torrez that dropped Ruiz. Moments later it was a left to the body that sent Ruiz down for a 2nd time.

Torrez , 216,7 lbs is 6-0 with three knockouts. Ruiz, 255 lbs of Baja, California, MEX is 0-2.

Jose Tito Sanchez remained undefeated with a four-round unanimous decision over Pedro Melo in a junior lightweight bout.

Sanchez, 131.6 lbs of Indio, CA won on all cards by 40-36 scores and is now 3-0. Melo, 131.4 lbs of Mexico is 17-21-1.
