Radivoje Kalajdzic stopped Mickey Ellison in round eight of their 10-round light heavyweight bout at the Whitesands Event Center in Plant City, Florida.

In round eight Kaladjzic dropped a battered Ellison, who was bleeding around his right eye, two times and the bout was stopped.

Kalaajzic, 174.4 lbs of Saint Petersburg, FL is 28-2 with 20 knockouts. Ellison, 174.6 lbs of Blackburn, UK is 14-5-1.

William Foster III remained Misael Lopez in round nine of their 10-round junior lightweight bout.

In round three, Lopez began to swell under the left eye. Foster landed a hard right that was ruled a knockdown when it was determined the ropes held him up.

In round eight, Foster landed a hard straight right that sent Lopez down on his back. In round nine, Foster landed a jab to the body that was followed up by another booming right and left hook that put Lopez down again and the fight was stopped at 58 seconds.

Foster, 130 lbs of East Haven, CT is 16-0 with 10 knockouts. Lopez, 129.9 lbs of Denver is 14-4.

Jonas Sultan won an eight-round unanimous decision over Frank Gonzalez in a super bantamweight bout.

In round two, Sultan dropped Gonzalez with a right to the body.

In round seven, Sultan was deducted two points for hitting Gonzalez while he was down.

Sultan, 121,2 lbs of the Philippines is 19-6. Gonzalez, 122.8 lbs is 12-4.

Dominic Valle remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Damian Valle in a junior lightweight bout.

In round two, Valle dropped Alcala with a right uppercut to the chin. In round three, it was a right hand that put Alcala on the canvas. Valle continued to batter Alcala with more uppercuts.

Valle, 130 lbs of Tampa, FL won by scores of 60-52 on all cards and is now 7-0. Alcala, 129.8 lbs of Tijuana, MEX is 7-3.

New Haven, CT (September 5, 2023)–World ranked Super Featherweight contender William Foster III will be back in action this Wednesday night when he takes on Misael Lopez at The Probox Whitesands Event Center in Plant City, Fl. Foster was originally scheduled to fight Fradimil Macayo on July 12^th but the fight was scratched when Macayo unexpectedly pulled out the day before the fight. Foster versus Lopez will be a 10 round special attraction for the WBA Fedecentro Super Featherweight Title

Foster has a record of 15-0 with nine knockouts. The 29 year-old is ranked number 15 by the WBA. His resume includes notable wins over Sulaiman Segawa (10-0), Angel Suarez (8-2), Jahmal Dyer (9-2), Donald Smith (10-0), world rated and fast rising contender Edwin De Los Santos (13-0) and in his most recent bout he scored a convincing win over respected veteran Avery Sparrow on July 23, 2022 in Philadelphia.

The 27 year old Lopez (Denver, Colorado) will step in the ring with a 14-3 record. He started his career by winning 11 straight bouts which included a victory over undefeated James Wilkins on ShoBox before suffering his first defeat to Jordan White also on ShoBox. Lopez then reeled off three straight wins, including a decision over highly regarded Orlando Gonzalez (18-1). Lopez will be looking to bounce back after dropping his two most recent bouts against top contenders Edward Vazquez, his third appearance on ShoBox, and one time Foster victim Segawa in his most recent outing on May 6th.

Angel Fierro stopped Eduardo Estela in round seven of their scheduled 10-round lightweight bout in Culiacan, Mexico

In round two, Fierro was deducted a point. In round four, Fierro dropped Estela with a hard right hand. At the end of the round, Fierro dropped Estela again with another right that rolled Estela under the bottom rope.

In round seven, Fierro landed a big flurry that was finished up by a couple of hard left hooks that put Estela down and out at 2:59

Eduardo Nunez scored a vicious second round stoppage over Martin Ceyca in a 10-round super featherweight bout.

In round two, Nunez landed a booming right hand that drilled the jaw of Ceyca and put him flat on his back and the fight was over at 2:14.

Francisco Pina won an eight-round unanimous decision over Alejandro Young in a battle of undefeated featherweights.

Pina, 125.8 lbs of Mexico City won by scores of 78-75, 77-75 and 77-76 and is now 6-0. Young, 127.2 lbs of Los Mochis, MX is 9-1.

Criztec Bazaldua made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Jose Bustamante in a lightweight contest.

Bazaldua, 136.4 lbs of Los Angeles won by scores of 40-36 on all cards and is 1-0. Bustamante, 135.4 lbs of Mexico City is 1-1.

Shakur Stevenson lost his WBO/WBC Junior Lightweight titles on Thursday when he failed to make weight for his title defense against Robson Conceicao, but was able to pound out a 12-round unanimous decision at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

In round four, Stevenson dropped Conceicao with a straight left hand.

Stevenson of Newark won by scores of 117-109, 118-108 and 117-109 and is now 19-0. Conceicao of Brazil is 17-2.

Davis Stops Tienda in 5

Keyshawn Davis remained undefeated with a fifth round stoppage of Omar Tienda in an eight-round lightweight bout.

In round five, Davis dropped Tienda with a step-back right hand. With Tienda hurt, Davis landed a vicious flurry that was highlighted by a hard left hand and the fight was stopped at 1:38.

Davis, of Roanoke, VA is 6-0 with five knockouts. Tienda of Guadalupe, MEX is 25-6.

Bruce Carrington remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over Jose Argel in a featherweight bout.

Pablo Valdez remained undefeated with a fourth round stoppage over Noe Alejandro Lopez in a six-round junior middleweight bout.

In round three, Valdez dropped Lopez with a body shot.

In round four, it was a right to the head that put Lopez down. Later in the round , Valdez dropped Lopez with a left to the river, and the bout was stopped at 2:45.

Brandun Lee continued to be impressive in his early career as he stopped Samuel Teah in round three of a scheduled 10-round junior welterweight bout at The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

In round three, Lee dropped Teah with a hard right. Later in the round, Lee landed a booming right to the face that sent Teah plummeting on his back, and the fight was immediately stopped at 1:43.

“This is probably my biggest accomplishment yet. It was a step up in competition and even the betting odds were way closer than usual. Most of the time, I’m a -5,000 favorite or something like that and this time it was only -1,000. I was getting a lot of DM’s on Instagram and Twitter of people telling me that Sam is going to be tough. Sam is going to beat you. But hopefully, the doctors check him out and everything is all good.

In round six, White scored a knockdown with a hard right. Moments later, White landed a flush combination that sent Lopez down again, and the fight was stopped at 2:40.

Padilla Stops Velasquez in 5

Victor Padilla stopped Thomas Velasquez in round five of a scheduled eight-round bout of undefeated lightweights.

In round one, Velasquez landed a perfect counter right that sent Padilla down to the canvas.

In round five, Padilla rocked Velasquez with a right hook and and hurt Velasquez repeatedly until he fell on the canvas. With Velasquez hurt, Padilla rocked Velasquez several more times until the bout was stopped at 1:56.

“You have to understand that I had a year off and there were a lot of emotions heading into this fight. My timing was a little off. I was trying to throw with a lot of power so that’s why I was missing so much. He wasn’t catching me but he was making me miss. By the start of the fourth round, I started to relax and I realized that when I started putting pressure on him he didn’t know what to do. I just needed to calm down and let the knockout come naturally.

Lopez burst onto the national boxing stage when he upset unbeaten favorite James Wilkins on SHOWTIME’s “ShoBox” series via unanimous decision, on September 21, 2018, in Shawnee, OK. The versatile boxer-puncher controlled the action of the fast-paced eight-round affair, combating Wilkins’ pressure with a higher volume of punches and deft footwork.

He has since added two more victories to his record. Lopez’s most recent bout, on October 4, 2019, which he won via six-round unanimous decision against Nestor Robledo, was later overturned to a ‘No Contest’ after his post-fight drug test came back positive for marijuana.

“Misael suffered a career setback when his last win was changed to a ‘No Contest’ after he tested positive for weed. I think he’s learned his lesson, but I’m not going to blackball somebody because he smoked a joint,” said DiBella.

Born in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico, Lopez moved with his family to the United States at the age of two, growing up in Denver, CO. Seeing his son bullied, Misael’s father, Ebenezer, who had an amateur boxing career and worked as a sparring partner for local, prominent fighters, decided to teach his son how to box so he could defend himself. Developing an affinity for the sweet science, a 10-year-old Lopez had his first amateur bout in 2006. Over the next 10 years, the athletic Lopez excelled at boxing and soccer, participating in high level competitions for both sports. As a boxer, Lopez compiled an amateur record of 50-5, winning gold medals at the 2008 Ringside World Championships, 2010 Colorado State Silver Gloves Tournament, Colorado State Golden Gloves Tournament twice in 2009 and 2015, and the 2015 Gene Lewis Invitational Tournament. Still trained by his father out of House of Pain Boxing Gym, in Aurora, CO, Lopez turned professional on May 21, 2016, and is now co-managed by First To Fight Management and Sheer Sports.

Las Vegas, Nevada – Last year Sugar Boxing signed undefeated super featherweight prospect Misael Lopez to a multi-year managerial contract. As part of the agreement the Denver resident received a signing bonus and was relocated along with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada.

He made his Sugar Boxing debut on a Premier Boxing Champions card in Texas last October. He would end up winning a unanimous decision over Nestor Robledo but the decision was overturned to a no contest when Lopez tested positive for marijuana.

Lopez, who is 24 years old, doesn’t appear to be grateful for the support that he has received and there are rumors that he is trying to breach his contract.

“He is problematic.  We have offered him multiple good fights on PBC cards and he hasn’t taken any of them.  We got him a fight last year and paid for his opponent and then he tested positive for smoking weed so all that money went down the drain,” said a Sugar Boxing representative.

Sugar Boxing wants to make it known that Lopez is under contract and interference will not be tolerated by anyone.  They are hoping to reconcile with the young fighter and get his career back on track.

“We have this kid 100% under contract.  We gave him a signing bonus and moved him out here and have invested several thousands of dollars in him. Now I hear through the grapevine that some other people are talking to him.  Anyone who interferes with our contract will be sued to the full extent of the law,” said the representative.

Hard charging super featherweight prospect Misael Lopez (11-0) is looking to close out 2019 with a bang.

The 23 year old returns to action tomorrow in Houston, Texas against Nestor Robledo on the first card promoted by Jermall and Jermell Charlo’s Lions Only Promotions in which neither of the twins is fighting on the card.

Lopez is very excited for having the opportunity to put his skills on display in a boxing town like Houston.

“It is amazing to be fighting out there. This is the type of exposure that you want as a boxer to showcase your skills. I am the ‘A’ side and this will be a chance for me to show my skills against a tough Mexican fighter who will be coming forward so I am excited to put on a show. It should be a great atmosphere,” Lopez stated.

His last fight took place in March when he blew out Richard Flores in 1 round. He is planning on this fight ending in similar fashion.

“That would be nice. I know that Ryan Garcia’s brother Sean Garcia couldn’t knock him out so that’s the goal. He fought him last and he couldn’t get him out so we are definitely looking for a knockout,” revealed Lopez.

If everything goes well Lopez hopes to have a quick turn around and get right back in action. Now that he is aligned with Oscar Vazquez and Sugar’s Boxing he expects to be much more active.

“I was supposed to fight in late September so I have been ready for a while. I can’t wait to show what I can do. Now that I have a new team and new coaches like (Mark) ‘Too Sharp’ (Johnson) everything is going in the right direction. We are hoping if everything goes right that we will get a TV fight on a PBC card later this year. That is the goal,” Lopez stated.

The 11 fight card is topped by super lightweight prospect Darwin Price taking on veteran Breidis Prescott in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds.

++For Immediate Release++ LAS VEGAS – Rising super featherweight prospect Misael Lopez (11-0) has signed a multi-year managerial contract with Sugar’s Boxing and Greg Hannely. The exciting Lopez was born in the boxing rich state of Sonora in Mexico and raised in Denver, Colorado.

He burst onto the scene last year when he upset James Wilkins on the popular ShoBox series.  Wilkins was heavily favored but an unfazed Lopez rose to the occasion to secure the unanimous decision victory.

“Last September I was supposed to fight Wilkins in Colorado and then it got hyped up and turned into a bigger fight,” explained Lopez. “I ended up fighting him on ShoBox and I turned into the B side. Paulie Malignaggi and Roy Jones were both backing him up. In fact, Roy still trains him and I upset him on television for everyone to see.”

The 23-year-old has picked up two more wins since then and believes that he has grown a lot as a fighter from that experience. He also learned that the pressure doesn’t get to him and the he rises to the occasion as the stakes get higher.

“I learned a lot in that fight. I got caught with a nice shot in the 7th round. I was playing around and learned not to do that. I also know that I don’t get scared by the cameras The big stage doesn’t scare me. I don’t get intimated by any of that,” he explained.

Lopez grew up in a fighting family.  His father served as a sparring partner for Donald Camarena who faced fighters such as Tim Bradley and Malignaggi.  He said that in addition to his father’s influence, he has studied many of the top fighters of the recent past.

“I watched a lot of (Julio Cesar) Chavez. I like his inside game a lot. I also like to watch Canelo (Alvarez). I think he has developed a lot as a fighter. and of course (Floyd) Mayweather. I really respect his defense,” Lopez stated.

He will be relocating to Las Vegas in the very near future and expects to be back in the ring in the summer.  Las Vegas has some of the best sparring in the country and Lopez can’t wait to get to work in his new home.

“I should be there in less than a month and be ready to work. I was out there for the Robert Easter-Rances Barthelemy fight but I haven’t really been out there to box yet,” said Lopez.

“My father has trained me since I was a kid and got me to 11-0 but now we know that now it is time to come out and take it to the next level. There isn’t a lot more to do here in Denver and Vegas is the fight capital so I will be training with the best of the best,” said Lopez who plans on being a fan friendly fighter.

“I think the most exciting thing about me is that I bring that Mexican aggressive style but I am not going to be sloppy. A lot of Mexicans go straight forward but I also have defense. That is why I say I studied a lot of Chavez and Maywather. Fans can expect to see a lot of excitement and also technical skills when I am in the ring.”
