James Stops Brewart in 7

Joeshon James stopped Richard Brewart Jr. in round seven of their eight-round middleweight bout at The Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California.

In round five, James dropped Brewart with an overhand right. In round seven it was another right that sent Brewart down in the corner and the fight was stopped at 2:49.

James, 156.8 lbs of Sacramento, CA is 7-0 with four knockouts. Brewart, 157.9 lbs of Rancho Cucamonga, CA is 12-1.

Isaac Avelar won a eight-round unanimous decision over Roberto Meza Jr. in a featherweight fight.

Avelar, 127 lbs of Agescaliente, MEX won by scores of 78-74 and 77-75 twice and is now 18-5. Meza, 126.8 lbs of Temecula, CA is 15-3-1.

Erick Garcia Benitez scored an upset six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Ruben Islas in a lightweight bout.

Benitez, 133.3 lbs of Guadalajara, MEX won by scores of 60-54 on all cards, and is now 3-3. Islas, 134.5 lbs of Rialto, CA is 6-1.

Miguel Angel Barajas stopped Esteban Munoz in the sixth and final round of their welterweight fight.

Barajas hurt Munoz in the final frame, and landed a big barrage of punches that forced a referee stoppage at 2:37.

Barajas, 143.5 lbs of Guadalajara, MEX is 3-2 with two knockouts. Munoz, 144 lbs of San Bernadino, CA is 6-3.

David Salinas needed just 50 seconds to take out Alexis Salido in their four-round super bantamweight bout.

Salinas landed a hard right hand that put Salido on the canvas for the 10-count.

Salinas, 122.5 lbs of Rialto, CA is 3-0-1 with two knockouts. Salido, 122.6 lbs of Phoenix, AZ is 2-4.

In the 8-round co-main event, Roberto Meza Jr. (15-2-1, 8 KOs) takes on Isaac Avelar (16-5, 10 KOs) in a featherweight showdown.
