ADDED SPECIAL FEATURED BOUT: “THE JACKPOT” TYRONE “PRETTY BOY” JAMES LOOKS TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED SATURDAY NIGHT (6/11) AT ROCKIN’ FIGHTS 42

Long Island, New York (June 9, 2022) – Rockin’ Fights 42 is ready to take over The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island on Saturday night (June 11). Star Boxing announced today that featured on the card is local undefeated super welterweight, “THE JACKPOT” TYRONE “PRETTY BOY” JAMES (Elmont, NY 12-0 9KO’s). James returns to “Rockin’ Fights” after an electric fourth round stoppage victory over a big step up opponent in Jimmy “Quiet Storm” Williams this past March. James seeks to keep his undefeated record on June 11th, and do it in “Pretty Boy” style, as he steps up once again against Colombian, JANER GONZALEZ (Miami, FL by way of Colombia, 20-4-1 16KO’s), in an 8 round super welterweight bout.

Gonzalez has faced off with some big time prospects, contenders and champions such as undefeated WBA Welterweight World Champion, Eimantas Stanionis (then, 11-0 9KO’s), Ivan Golub (then 19-1 14KO’s) and former WBA Interim World Champion, Jamal James (then 24-1 12KO’s). James will seek to elevate his status once more with a key victory over an opponent with Gonzalez’s stature.

Also on the Star Boxing acclaimed series, Ireland’s “SUPERFLY” TONY BROWNE (Dublin, Ireland, 5-1) returns to the USA quickly after his recent April 9th ‘step-up’ unanimous decision victory at Rivers Casino over Leandro Silva. Brown will take on Star Boxing stablemate, Brazilian bomber, LUCAS MARTINS (Sao Paulo, Brazil, 13-1 11KO’s) in an 8-round super middleweight bout. This June 11th fight at the Paramount will be the biggest fight and test of the young Irishmen’s career, and a victory will put him on the map in the states, leading to bigger opportunities. However, Martins, who is coming off a victory in his native Brazil and was seen on DAZN back in October in a respectable performance against heralded prospect Diego Pacheco, is also a well-regarded prospect. The winner of this fight figures to have a bright future in the super middleweight division.

In a possible show stealer, ISAAH FLAHERTY (Elmont, NY, 3-0 1KO) will put his undefeated record on the line against the tough QUADEER JENKINS (Trenton, NJ 2-3 2KO’s) in a 4-round super middleweight fight that could steal the show. Flaherty returns to The Paramount after taking home a unanimous decision over Angelo Thompson. Jenkins, who fought on the undercard of Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz back in 2019, is coming off a second round TKO victory on May 13 and will look to keep the momentum going by snatching Flaherty’s undefeated record.

In a battle of pro debut’s, two-time New York Ring Masters Champion RONNY REYES (New York, NY, Pro Debut) looks to start his career on the right foot in a 4 round lightweight bout against a fellow pro debut in HECTOR BECERRA (Corpus Christi, TX, Pro Debut).

Bronx firefighter, LOUIS “IL MARTELLO” MAIETTA (Bronx, NY 1-1-1) looks to get back in the win column against DEQUINT “BEYOU” HILL (Austin, Texas, 0-1) who will attempt to secure his first victory as a professional in a scheduled 4 round light heavyweight bout.

“This is a fun card from top to bottom that will once again bring excitement to the Paramount on Saturday, June 11th,” said Star Boxing CEO JOE DEGUARDIA. “The action at the Paramount rivals any location in the world and the fighters always seem to put it all on the line in that famed ‘telephone booth’ sized ring at the Paramount. Tyrone James has really become a fan favorite and could be the next one to graduate to the bright lights. The undercard once again should be thrilling 50/50 fights that promise to captivate the fans in attendance. It’s always great to be at “Rockin’ Fights,” and we hope to see you there.”

The Cletus Seldin vs Rachid Jkitou bout that was scheduled for 10 rounds for the NABA Super Lightweight Title will not proceed due to a Jkitou medical issue. It is hopeful that a new opponent will be announced for Cletus Seldin Thursday afternoon.

FEDERICI OUTPOINTS PINCHUK IN A THRILLING WBC CA and NABA GOLD CRUISERWEIGHT MAIN EVENT AT RIVERS CASINO BROWNE and O’ROURKE SHINE IN THEIR USA DEBUT

Schenectady, NY (April 11, 2022) — Championship boxing was in the limelight in Schenectady at Rivers Casino Saturday night, as SIMONE “TYSON” FEDERICI (now, 19-2-1 8KO’s) unified the WBC CA and NABA Gold Cruiserweight Titles outpointing Pittsburgh’s, LYUBOMYR “DEMOLITION MAN” PINCHUK (now, 14-3-1 8KO’s) in an absolutely thrilling main event.

The opening round had the packed crowd on their feet as Federici and Pinchuk came out swinging, looking to establish their respective game plans. Federici began to find success working on the inside, putting efficient punches together with quality speed forcing Pinchuk to work off the back foot. Pinchuk would respond with combinations to the body, attempting to utilize the jab to keep the Italian tank, Federici, at a distance. As the battle of wills continued an accidental clash of heads with a minute left in the fourth round caused a gash over the eye of Federici. Knowing what was on the line both fighters maintained an impressive work rate over the 10-rounds, however it seemed to be Federici’s ability to bully his way inside that would make the difference. The judges saw it in favor of Federici by unanimous decision, who successfully defended his WBC CA title, and became the new NABA Gold Champion (99-91, 97-93 2x).

In 8 rounds of action, Ireland’s, “SUPERFLY” TONY BROWNE (now, 5-1) was successful in his US debut against the tough LEANDRO “APOLLO” SILVA (now, 3-6 2KO’s). Silva came out of the gate looking to control the action, while Browne effectively countered his aggression. In the 5th round, Silva buzzed Browne with an overhand right, but Browne was able to shake it off and power on. Silva kept coming forward trying to find a way in, but Browne continued to successfully work from the outside. Browne would take home the unanimous decision in his US debut (77-75, 78-76, 79-75)

Also making his US debut, 22 year old Irish product, “THE SILENT ASSASIN” RYAN O’ROURKE (now, 8-1 1KO) defeated Frenchman, FAYCAL REZKALLAH (now, 6-2-1 1KO) over 6 rounds. The Schenectady crowd was “oohing” and “ahing” as O’Rourke was landing from impressive angles. While O’Rourke controlled the pace of the fight, Rezkallah had his moments, waiting for O’Rourke to take a beat, before returning the favor in the form of multi punch combinations. O’Rourke’s early work to the body paid dividends in rounds five and six, hurting Rezkallah. The fight would find the final bell, and Ryan O’Rourke would earn the clean sweep on the cards for the unanimous decision victory (60-54 3x).

In the opening bout of the evening MICHELLE COOK (now, 2-3-2) and LIZ TUANI (now, 1-7) impressed in a competitive battle. Tuani came out swinging with force, but Cook was able to weather the storm. Late in the 3rd round, Cook found a home for her right hand knocking Tuani on her heels. At the close of the fight, Cook would get the nod by unanimous decision (39-37 X3)

“The fans came out early and stayed late for a thrilling night of fights at Rivers Casino,” said Star Boxing CEO JOE DEGUARDIA. “Federici and Pinchuk put on one hell of a show, and left it all in the ring – both should be proud. Congratulations to Simone on the victory, and Tony Browne and Ryan O’Rourke for shining in their US debuts.”

STAR BOXING ADDS IRISH AMATEUR STANDOUT TONY BROWNE

Friday, August 14, 2020 (New York, NY)

Standout Irish amateur TONY BROWNE is set to go pro after signing a promotional agreement with Hall of Fame Promoter JOE DEGUARDIA and Star Boxing.

Star Boxing adds to its talented stable another young Irish prospect after announcing late last week the signing of undefeated Irish super lightweight RYAN O’ROURKE (3-0).

The move ends the decorated amateur chapter of Browne’s career who was listed at #4 on Ireland’s amateur pound for pound list. Browne represented Ireland internationally, medaling at The Chemistry Cup (World Cup), the Eindhoven Box Cup and a slew of several Irish National Titles.

While Browne who will be campaigning at super middleweight, has had no shortage of professional experience having sparred around the world with some of the best to do it, including Chris Eubank Jr., in his preparation for his bout against James DeGale.

Browne currently trains with Steven O’ Rourke in Inchicore alongside his now stablemate, Ryan O’Rourke. Browne is managed by Conor Slater of Slater Consulting. Browne will look to make his pro-debut closer to home in the coming months, with a fight date likely to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing commented, “It is great to welcome Tony to the team. He is one of the most exciting amateurs in world boxing and his pedigree speaks for itself. We believe he is well suited to the pro game and I look forward to seeing him progress.”

Tony Browne added, “I’m delighted to have finally turned pro. This has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and this opportunity that has presented itself is one I had to grab with both hands. People have always said I’m suited for the pro game, so I’m raring to show that I am. A big thanks to my team Steven and Conor and of course to Joe and everyone at Star Boxing for this amazing opportunity. I’m looking forward to getting started. I haven’t turned pro just to make up the numbers or to win just a couple of belts, I want to be world champion and leave a legacy. That’s my goal.”
