Joe grew up in Shirley Long Island. He is the oldest of 7 brothers and 1 sister. Joe started boxing at 13 years old. Boxing was a way to stay off the street and out of trouble and became a big part of his life. As an amateur, Joe had a very successful career. With just about 50 amateur fights, Joe won many titles including the Title World Champion in 2006, Junior Olympic Champion in 2004, 2005, and 2006, Empire State Champion in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and the New York Metro Champion in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. One of the most memorable times in Joe’s life was in 2008 when he celebrated the birth of his daughter and just weeks later became a New York Golden Glove Champion with an impressive win over Sean Monaghan.

Joe turned pro in October 2009 winning his debut fight on Halloween by first round knockout over David Brown. His next 5 fights were by first and second round knockouts. Then, in his 7th pro fight, against Eddie Caminero, Joe, who was on his way to another convincing win, suffered a horribly broken jaw in the 2nd round. Joe continued to fight through the excruciating pain but his corner stopped the fight after the 4th round. Joe returned after almost a year layoff and he returned with vengeance reeling off 10 straight wins, 9 inside the distance, including wins of former contenders Otis Griffith and Tyrell Hendrix.

Joe and his team then signed a promotional contract with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing in September of 2014. Joe had numerous offers to sign with other promoters but felt that Joe DeGuardia was his best option. Joe made his Star Boxing debut a smashing one by blasting out the tough Maxell Taylor in 1 round on December 20th, 2014 fighting for the first time in his backyard at The Paramount in Huntington, NY. The bout was televised on MSG Network. Joe returned to The Paramount on April 18, 2015, and thrilled the sold out crowd with an exciting 2nd round KO over Cory Cummings. Capping off a busy 2015, Joe fought again on September 11, knocking out Dion Savage in the 9th Round at the Paramount. He is currently scheduled to fight at Barclay Center on December 5th vs local rival Will Rosinsky. When not in the ring, Joe works for Local 66 Laborers Union. Joe has become one of the Tri State area’s top attractions. Joe has a huge fan base that grows with each fight, many of whom are Laborers. Under the direction of Joe DeGuardia and his team at Star Boxing hopes to challenge for a world championship in the near future.

FIREFIGHTER WILL ROSINSKY SET TO REPRESENT FDNY IN SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5 SHOWDOWN AGAINST JOE SMITH JR. AT BARCLAYS CENTER IN BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN (November 18, 2015) – New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Engine Company 234 in Brooklyn firefighter Will Rosinsky (19-2, 10 KOs) is ready to represent the FDNY when he takes on Joe Smith Jr. (19-1, 16 KOs) in a 10-round light heavyweight clash on Saturday, December 5 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Rosinsky will face one of the toughest challenges of his career in the undefeated Smith Jr., but he will be spurred on by the brave men he works with outside the ring on a daily basis, “I feel like I have the whole fire department to represent and that’s what is going to drive me in the fight,” said Rosinsky.

“Fighting in New York, especially Brooklyn, where my training first started, gives me a sense of comfort as well as motivation. Being a local kid and working in that borough, I feel like the FDNY will be at Barclays in full force to support me alongside my day-one fans.”

A 2005 U.S. amateur champion, Rosinsky won the New York Golden Gloves tournament an astonishing four times before turning pro in 2008. Throughout his pro career, he was also working fulltime as an EMT specialist.

However, after a victory in December 2012, Rosinsky was forced to step away from the sport while transitioning to become a fulltime member of the FDNY. At the conclusion of his probationary period from the FDNY, Rosinsky was finally able to resume his boxing career in the spring of this year. Now, he spends time on both of his professional passions.

“I have to have equal dedication to both crafts and the preparation can be very similar,” said Rosinsky, who began his career 14-0. “You have to prepare for the worst case scenario in a fight and worst case scenario with a fire. Those fires are much more dangerous though.”

Tickets for the Rosinsky-Smith bout, which is promoted by DiBella Entertainment in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing, start at $50, not including applicable fees, and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.ticketmaster.com, www.barclayscenter.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Tickets are also available at the American Express Box Office at Barclays Center.

The December 5 event is headlined by the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING main event that pits middleweight world champion Daniel “The Miracle Man” Jacobs (30-1, 27 KOs) against former world champion Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (32-0-1, 23 KOs) with televised coverage beginning live on SHOWTIME at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

IRELAND’S MIDDLEWEIGHT CONTENDER SPIKE O’SULLIVAN ADDED TO “McMAYHEM IN MIDTOWN” CARD

New York, NY (3/2/15) – Fresh off his victory this past Thursday in Boston, Mass., Ireland’s once-beaten middleweight title contender Spike O’Sullivan (19-1, 12KO’s) has been added to the eagerly anticipated “McMayhem in Midtown” card, held on Saturday, March 14, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. The event, promoted by DiBella Entertainment, Murphy’s Boxing, Ring of Fire Promotions and FDNY Bravest Boxing will feature both professional and amateur bouts, and is headlined by former world-title challenger Patrick “The Punisher” Hyland (29-1, 13KO’s) taking on Manuel de los Reyes Herrera (21-15-1, 15KO’s). The co-feature bout of the evening sees the long-awaited return of popular light heavyweight contender-turned-New York firefighter Will “Power” Rosinsky (17-2, 9KO’s) as he squares off against Paul Gonsalves (7-5, 3KO’s). The amateur portion of the card will mark the third meeting between the FDNY Bravest Boxing team and Garda Siochana Boxing team of the Irish National Police Force, who will be making the trip over from Ireland with the 2015 Transatlantic championship at stake.

Tickets for “McMayhem in Midtown” are priced at $100, $65 and $35, and can be purchased by calling the DiBella Entertainment office at (212) 947-2577. Tickets may also be purchased by visiting www.murphysboxing.com. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the first bout scheduled for 7:30 PM.

O’Sullivan, hailing from Cork, Ireland, is promoted by Ken Casey’s Murphys Boxing. Casey, the lead singer for platinum-selling American Celtic band, The Dropkick Murphys, began working with the popular Irishman following his loss to the undefeated WBO #1-ranked middleweight Billy Joe Saunders. In November of last year, O’Sullivan scored arguably his best victory to date, a devastating first-round TKO over perennial contender Anthony Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald had previously gone the distance with both former interim WBA middleweight champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam and current WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee.

With a cult-like following along the entire Eastern seaboard, Casey has used the band’s popularity to build O’Sullivan’s fan base here in the U.S. and a raucous crowd is expected to be on hand for his New York City debut.

“I love new adventures and St. Paddy’s weekend in New York is going to be electric,” said O’Sullivan. “On March 14, I intend to entertain the fans and show them what I can do in the ring. I will aim to send them home wanting to come see me fight again and feeling that they got great value for their ticket money.”

“Spike is an awesome guy and a great exciting fighter to watch. I am excited for the New York fans who will get their first chance to see Spike in action,” said Casey.

In anticipation of his New York debut, O’Sullivan will make his way to the empire state a couple of weeks early, and spend time meeting with fans at the Dropkick Murphys at Irving Plaza in Manhattan on March 8th, 9th and 10th. Tickets for the card will also be available for purchase at these shows.

An opponent for O’Sullivan will be named shortly.

“McMAYHEM IN MIDTOWN” CARD TAKING SHAPE OPPONENTS NAMED FOR PATRICK HYLAND AND WILL ROSINSKY INTRIGUING THIRD BOUT LIKELY TO BE ADDED SHORTLY SATURDAY, MARCH 14TH AT THE THEATER AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

New York, NY (2/26/15) – On Saturday, March 14, DiBella Entertainment, Ring of Fire Promotions and FDNY Bravest Boxing will present an exciting night of boxing, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden, in New York City. The card, entitled “McMayhem in Midtown”, will feature both professional and amateur bouts, and is headlined by former world title challenger Patrick “The Punisher” Hyland (29-1, 13KO’s) taking on Manuel de los Reyes Herrera. The co-feature bout of the evening sees the long-awaited return of popular light heavyweight contender-turned-New York firefighter Will “Power” Rosinsky (17-2, 9KO’s)squaring off against Paul Gonsalves .

Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the first bout scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Nicknamed “The Punisher”, Hyland’s lone defeat as a professional came against undefeated Javier Fortuna for the interim WBA world featherweight title in 2012. Following the loss to Fortuna, Hyland was forced to sit on the sidelines for a year and a half as he waited for his contract with his previous promoter to expire. Once he became a free agent, Hyland quickly signed with DiBella Entertainment (DBE) late last year and has since strung together two impressive victories; a fourth-round TKO over Noel Echevarria and a dominant points win over Oszkar Fiko. Hyland is looking to have an even bigger and better 2015, as he continues to stay active and position himself for another world title opportunity. Hyland is scheduled to square off against Herrera (21-15-1, 15KO’s) in an eight-round featherweight matchup.

“Training has been going perfect so far and now that we have Herrera locked in, I am that more excited about the fight as we are one step closer to getting in that ring on fight night. I have been in New York City around St. Patty’s Day before, and the atmosphere throughout the entire city is just electric. I plan on starting the festivities early with a spectacular performance on the 14th for all my fellow Irishmen,” said Hyland.

Following a two-year layoff, the highly touted Rosinsky is eager to return to the venue that saw him win four Golden Gloves championships as an amateur. The popular Queens native’s losses as a pro have come in nationally televised contests to top-rated light heavyweight contender and former super middleweight world title challenger Edwin Rodriguez and former middleweight kingpin Kelly Pavlik. Rosinsky has been out of the ring since a 10-round unanimous decision win over Otis Griffin in December 2012, and is chomping at the bit to get his promising pro career back underway in front of what is anticipated to be a large contingent of fellow FDNY members on hand when he faces Gonsalves (7-5-1, 3KO’s) in an eight-round light heavyweight matchup.

Whispers of an intriguing third professional bout being added to the card have been circulating, with an announcement possibly being made later this week.

Rosinsky Returns to Fight Back Against Sandy

Will Rosinsky has had an exciting career thus far, both in and out of the ring. The 27 year old, Queens native has had back to back tough bouts, one with former World Champion Kelly Pavlik, and the other, Hurricane Sandy. The FDNY EMT saw firsthand the devastation and destruction that a major natural disaster can impose on a community, especially a community as big as the New York City area. A crushing blow to the place he has called his home for his whole life, can make the disappointments in the ring, seem minuscule in comparison.

“To see firsthand just what these people were going through days after was truly tragic. As with many of us in the tri-state area, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about the effects this horrible storm had on so many people.” Rosinsky said about the experience.

But that is exactly what is going to make the upcoming edition of DiBella Entertainment’s “Broadway Boxing” series, that much more special. Not only will Rosinsky get the opportunity to bounce back from the hard fought bought with Pavlik, but it comes with a cause. All proceeds from the night will go to benefit the relief efforts from Hurricane Sandy.

Will “Power” Rosinsky impressed a lot of the boxing community in the Pavlik fight, taking the fight on short notice, and then taking it to Pavlik right out of the gate, landing the cleaner and more effective shots in the first, it was clear that he wouldn’t be a pushover for Pavlik, on his comeback trail. Trading shots in the second round with the former Ring Magazine Champion, a hard chopping right caught Rosinsky, and put him on the canvas.

Quickly he rose and throughout the rest of the bout, Rosinsky and Pavlik strategically traded shots and styles it seemed. Some rounds Pavlik seemed to be controlling the action with his jab, but then it would be Rosinsky breaking through with combinations that would end with crisp power shots, and vice-versa. In the latter stages of the fight though, it may have been the short notice of the fight, and Pavlik’s championship experience that did Rosinsky in, as Pavlik seemed to pull away in the final two rounds, clinching the unanimous decision. Although clearly an upset against a world class fighter like Kelly Pavlik would have been ideal. The experience, with a fighter like that had to bring some sort of consolation to him.

This Wednesday, Rosinsky (16-2, 9KO) will square off against Otis Griffin (24-10, 10KO) a game 35 year old, who has terrific experience in the ring, against the likes of Yusef Mack, Jeff Lacy, and Danny Green. A fight that he most certainly will not take lightly, as it is the chance to get on another roll, and possibly get another Pavlik type fight in the future. And the extra motivation to shine in an evening dedicated to doing what Rosinsky does best, giving back.

DiBella Entertainment’s latest installment of the “Broadway Boxing” series will take place at the Roseland Ballroom, in New York City, this Wednesday, December 19th. As well as the proceeds from the fight going to Hurricane Sandy relief, Lou DiBella will also be having a silent auction throughout the night, featuring items from his personal collection Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000, or by calling the DiBella Entertainment office at (212) 947-2577. Tickets are priced at $125, $85, $65 and $45. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET with the first bout scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

WITH A BIG 2013 ON THE HORIZON DBE’S RED-HOT FORMER OLYMPIAN IVAN REDKACH LOOKS TO CLOSE OUT THE YEAR WITH A BANG

New York, NY (12/11/12) – On Wednesday, December 19, DiBella Entertainment (DBE) will present the latest installment of its popular Broadway Boxing series, with a special-edition Hurricane Sandy benefit card taking place at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. It will air live on FIGHT NOW TV-America’s only 24-hour combat sports and entertainment channel-starting at 9 p.m. ET. Proceeds from the show, which will include a silent auction of sports memorabilia, will be donated to the American Red Cross. The main event features Queens, NY, contender Will “Power” Rosinsky (16-2, 9KO’s) taking on Otis Griffin (24-10-2, 10KO’s) in a 10-round light heavyweight matchup.

In the co-featured bout of the evening, DBE’s red-hot lightweight prospect Ivan Redkach (12-0, 11KO’s) will look to make it a perfect 4-0 with four knockouts in 2012 when he squares off against New York’s Edward Valdez (11-8-2, 8KO’s) in an eight-round contest.

A native of Ukraine, Redkach, who now lives and trains in Los Angeles, had a stellar amateur career, which saw him compile a 260-40 record and culminated in him representing his native country at the 2008 Olympics.

Redkach turned pro on November 3, 2009, scoring a vicious first round TKO over Keith Kelly. By June 2011, Redkach had improved his record to a perfect 6-0, 5KO’s, and had earned himself an exclusive promotional contract with DBE. Redkach would make his DBE debut on June 4, 2011, on the undercard of Carl Froch’s super middleweight title defense against Glen Johnson at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ, scoring a sixth-round TKO over Alberto Amaro.

Since the bout against Amaro, Redkach has completely annihilated every opponent he has stepped into the ring against, including three consecutive first-round stoppages in 2012. In fact, the only opponent Redkach doesn’t own a TKO or KO victory over in his 12 career bouts was disqualified for excessive holding. While Lou DiBella is ecstatic about his young charge, predicting a world championship for Redkach sometime in the near future, he is by no means the only one who has been blown away by the 26-year-old southpaw’s power and relentless style.

After witnessing one of his bouts earlier this year, esteemed reporter Doug Fischer, of Ringtv.com, stated, “Ivan Redkach is a stud; best lightweight prospect with less than 20 bouts. I think he can beat most prospects with 20 + bouts.”

After his most recent one-round destruction of Tebor Brosch at Roseland Ballroom on October 24, the highly regarded Mike Woods, who covers for TheSweetScience.com and ESPN.com, proclaimed, “This kid scared me. He put bad thoughts into my head.”

At this point in his career, the sky truly is the limit for Redkach. DiBella has big plans for his lightweight prospect in 2013, including some much deserved national television exposure, but first he must take care of business on the December 19 against Valdez. Just a friendly reminder for any fight involving Redkach: Get there early, and don’t blink.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000, or by calling the DiBella Entertainment office at (212) 947-2577. Tickets are priced at $125, $85, $65 and $45. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET with the first bout scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET. The event is sponsored by Manfredi Auto Group and Newlio.com, in association with Everlast.

A Week in Will’s World Part 1

As I’m preparing myself for my December 19 showdown against tough contender Otis Griffin, I must admit, there’s always a lot of things on my mind. Those who know me best are aware of my commitment outside of the squared circle as a full time emergency medical technician (EMT) in one of the roughest areas in Brooklyn, NY. During my amateur and professional boxing career, I’ve seen a lot of unbelievable things, but it can’t compare to what my eyes have witnessed during my regular job.

Last week, I had to transport a 2 month baby to the hospital because her father accidentally punched the back of her head while he attempted to hit the mother. Accident or not, this was very difficult to deal with and I truly felt terrible about the situation. I can’t even fathom how traumatic that is for an infant in that environment. My unit had to assist with an emotionally disturbed person (EDP), where a family member called for emergency guidance with somebody acted violently. In situations like these, EMS and NYPD personnel work together to get the patient the care they need.

On Thanksgiving Day, we had a young man, early to mid-40’s, in cardiac arrest who was in a car accident. We don’t know if he went into arrest before or after the crash, all we know is that his heart was not beating. There’s no way to tell in the moment but everyone did what we could to help. Sadly, the young man passed away. It’s moments like these, where I witness some of the worst tragedies firsthand, that make me realize how blessed I am to do what I love; box and help others.

Every day before work, I spend a few hours in the gym preparing for my fight against Otis Griffin. Admittedly, it’s tiring at times to juggle working full time and training for world-class opponents, but I guess my willpower gets me through it (no pun intended). Whether it’s Griffin, Pavlik, Rodriguez or an opponent I’m expect to defeat by an early knockout, I get ready for every fighter as if they’re a world champion.

The most important thing is trying to keep my mind focused on the immediate task and I have a simple formula. When I’m at work,
I work and keep boxing in the back of my mind. While I’m training, my focus is fully on boxing and not the crazy situations I may see later that day.

In some instances, like the Aaron Pryor Jr. fight right into the Kelly Pavlik bout, my captain allowed me to take a lot of my own time. I was able to focus fully on boxing. While I don’t always have the time to take off, I have to adapt. Each morning at 8 AM, I go to the boxing gym or work on strength and conditioning. I have alternating days for both gyms. In some cases, if good sparring is available for certain days, I work it out according.
Either way, I’m grinding at least 6 days a week and that’s what I’m becoming used to.

On December 19, I’m looking forward putting on a great show and plan to provide you with an early Christmas gift; a victory. With that said, I never take fights because it’s an easy win but because it’s a challenge. Griffin’s team made many inquiries about fighting me and I’ll make him regret that. We’ll call it “Seasons Beatings”. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone on fight night.

Sincerely,

Will “Power” Rosinsky
16-2 (9 KO’s)

DIBELLA ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES SPECIAL EDITION BROADWAY BOXING CARD TO BENEFIT HURRICANE SANDY VICTIMS

New York, NY (11/26/12) – On Wednesday, December 19, DiBella Entertainment will present a special holiday edition of its Broadway Boxing series headlined by Queens-native Will “Power” Rosinsky (16-2, 9KO’s) in an eight-round light heavyweight bout.

Also featured on the card will be red-hot lightweight prospect Ivan Redkach (12-0, 11KO’s) and Brooklyn’s Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (20-1, 3KO’s). A portion of the proceeds from the show will be donated to victims of Hurricane Sandy. More information to follow.

“We are going to close our 2012 Broadway Boxing season with one of our strongest cards of the year,” said Lou DiBella. “In addition to the great card, we will also be raising money for Hurricane Sandy relief and there will be a silent auction including memorabilia from my own personal collection. Please join us not only for our traditional holiday season beatings card, but more importantly to raise money and awareness for those suffering so badly as a result of Hurricane Sandy.”

In addition to his professional boxing career, the former four-time New York Golden Gloves Champion and 2005 US Amateur Champion Rosinsky also works as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at FDNY’s Station 39 in East New York, Brooklyn. Rosinsky’s two defeats as a pro have come in highly competitive decision losses to red-hot, undefeated contender Edwin Rodriguez on SHOWTIME in October 2011 and, most recently, to former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik on HBO in July of this year.

Since turning pro in late 2009, the Ukrainian-native Redkach, who now lives and trains in Los Angeles, CA, has been considered one of the most exciting and dangerous young prospects in all of boxing. Redkach has reeled off three consecutive first-round stoppages in 2012, with 10 of his 11 knockouts coming in four rounds or less. The lone fighter Redkach hasn’t stopped was disqualified for excessive holding. Look for Redkach to have a breakout year in 2013.

After suffering his first professional defeat to former world champion DeMarcus Corley in January, Bracero has since reeled off two straight dominant eight-round unanimous decision victories. The popular Puerto Rican Bracero is inching toward landing a significant bout in the junior welterweight division sometime in 2013, but he must first take care of business on December 19.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000, or by calling the DiBella Entertainment office at (212) 947-2577. Tickets are priced at $125, $85, $65 and $45. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET with the first bout scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The event is sponsored by Manfredi Auto Group and Newlio.com, in association with Everlast.

Additional bouts and opponents for the above mentioned fighters will be announced shortly.

Rosinsky Returns December 19!

Queens, NY (November 21, 2012) – Super middleweight contender Will “Power” Rosinsky of Queens, NY makes his return to the ring Wednesday, December 19 when he faces battle tested contender Otis “Triple OG” Griffin in an eight round featured bout at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.

The winner of Oscar De La Hoya’s “Next Great Champion” TV series, Griffin’s fought some of the top fighters in and around the light heavyweight division including Marcus Oliveira, Yusaf Mack, Danny Green, Jesse Brinkley, Shawn Hawk, Cedric Agnew and Jeff Lacy. The Sacramento, CA native, who played pro football prior to boxing, knocked out former world champion Byron Mitchell in 2010 and has wins over 4 undefeated opponents.

“I’m thrilled about this because his team made numerous inquiries about fighting me,” stated Rosinsky, who works full-time as an EMT for the FDNY. “He’s a very experienced fighter who lost some controversial decisions against world class opponents. Against me, there will be no controversy because the judges won’t be needed!”

Rosinsky, who is amongst the most popular fighters in the New York area, has an excellent 16-2 professional ledger with 9 wins by way of knockout. The 2005 United States Amateur titlist holds impressive wins over Aaron Pryor Jr., Zane Marks and Yasin Rashid. In October 2011, Rosinsky fought on a national stage for the first time, dropping a controversial decision to top-notch Edwin Rodriguez on Showtime.

In his most recent bout, Rosinsky lost a gutsy decision to former undisputed middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik on HBO. Against Pavlik, the popular New Yorker recovered from a flash knockdown to open a cut below Pavlik’s left eye, but ultimately dropped a competitive ten round decision.

“I’m looking forward to returning to the Big Apple,” said Rosinsky, who fought 15 of his 18 bouts in New York City. “I’ve had many good memories here and I’m putting the work in during my training to make sure that the fans will enjoy a great fight on the 19th.”

Tickets are available on Teamfighttowalk.com. All tickets purchased will be available at the will call window on fight night under the credit card holder’s name.

Pavlik – Rosinsky to replace Rios-Herrera on July 7th

Former Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik will be back in action on July 7th against New Yorker Will Rosinsky in about that will be televised on HBO according to Dan Rafael of espn.com

The bout became feasible after Brandon Rios had to pullout of his Jr. Welterweight bout with Mauricio Herrera due to an arm injury.

The card will be headlined by Nonito Donaire’s Super Bantamweight unification bout with Jeffrey Mathebula.

“We talked about various fights, and it just occurred to me,” said Rosinsky’s promoter Lou DiBella. “(Top Rank’s) Carl (Moretti) knew Rosinsky and said, ‘Helluva fight, let’s do it.’ I think we have a great chance to win. Rosinsky is hungry and fresh and a tremendous action fighter. What I like about the fight is they are both action fighters.”

“He’s been aching for an opportunity and now he has this and he is thrilled,” DiBella said of Rosinsky. “He believes he will go out there and win. And if he doesn’t he will have given it everything he has trying.”

“I think because of Pavlik’s performance on ESPN, the rating that was generated, the interest in the super middleweight division and Kelly’s willingness to come right back combined with Rosinsky winning his second in a row since the decision to Edwin Rodriguez, it was just a natural step for everybody,” Moretti said. “I think Kelly gets tested.”

“We’re ready to go,” said Pavlik’s manager Cameron Dunkin, who also manages Rios. “Rosinsky is a tough guy, was great amateur and he’s a big guy who makes good fights. He and Kelly just fought, so they’re both in shape. I feel bad for Brandon, but I feel good for Kelly.

“It’s a fight we didn’t plan on but this gives us a bigger fight now instead of waiting for another fight until September. Kelly was very excited about it and jumped all over it. He said, ‘I’m ready to go.’

“Kelly said he would get a flight and go right back. Love the attitude,” Dunkin said. “Kelly and Mike [his father] were like, ‘Let’s go.’ I like that Kelly got home and was willing to go right back to Robert in Oxnard. This whole thing is very positive.”
